Found one of these at my local store yesterday as well. It was sitting on the clearance rack, clearly marked with a yellow clearance sticker for $75.03. I too thought I had found a lost gem - having bought one at the same store back in November 2016 for $75.03 - but it was not to be. Lugged it all the way to the SCO to find it rang up $75.03 (cheaper than the one above - but I would have thought it would have been priced a penny as well given the date on the sticker - 11/16). Was not happy, especially as I once again hefted the box off the SCO register and carried it back to the clearance shelf. Since I don't resale, and couldn't find anyone amongst my family or friends who seem to want the tool set, I put it back. However, if it had been a penny, I would have found space in my garage to store it as you can never have enough tools - especially when it would have been essentially free.

ALOT of those kits had missing pieces...most stores PCA still show them stuck at .03

Anyone ever have to warranty a rigid tool? Have heard it's a nightmare... thinking of getting a makita set but the rigid is tempting with the lifetime warranty... I've heard their batteries aren't great and their warranty is a hassle... any truth to that?

I found this interesting at my HD that has 4 of the $30 to a penny to $99 ladders listed as in stock, and then I saw this at the store.

Tell the in-stock store you were at another store, and they said this store had some. you drove based on that info, and would like to purchase the ladder. hard for to argue with that.

I saw something similar in Cabelas. They were giving a free bag away, and listing it's price of around $20, but then go walk back to a clearance endcap, and they was a pile for $7.**. Not exactly the same, but seems they both found a way to increase credit apps while giving away almost "nothing."

OK I have located a 1001243468 46" (8) drawer chest. Is it back to full price or will it still ring up at $50 (inactive) or $75 (back when it was clearance)? Thoughts?

Saw those back on 2/11. Had a $229 Date of 11/29/16. Was it .03 in the computer or was that an old pic? I remembered those too and checked when I saw them.

it was .03 in the computer this past Monday but saw the 0 inventory so didnt bother looking as I was focusing on Milwaukee bottoms, lol. Happened to be back in that store today (tucker) and just saw the sku number up in the rafters.

Excuse my ignorance, but does it matter if it's shrink wrapped with other stuff and has a paper attached to it?

I've seen that from time to time with older inventory or when only a few things are left they will bundle them together on a pallet to save space and write what's in that bundle on the paper so they can find it later...

Local HD in Austintown, OH has Makita 1/4 impact driver (1,450 inch-pounds) kits for $59 (usually $99). Comes with the impact driver, a 3 amp battery, charger, hard case. If you don't already have an impact driver or a cordless system or wanna upgrade to a newer set, it's a hell of a deal. Heck the battery alone is worth that much.

They had about 8 left in stock.

It matters. It means the employee has bought it and that paper has his name on it.

Jk...Just ask them to bring it down and walk to register.

It's all about the UPC. Must end in 1. The 1001243468 means nothing to the register. The UPC is scanned.

Saw a oddity just now at a nearby store.

These were on clearance months ago and long gone last year from my local stores @75.03. Today I see one in the rafters and think, "hmm, maybe penny or at least cheaper than the 75.03 price." Nearly kill myself getting it down (its heavy) and go to self checkout, do a price check and have that penny ready but no, it now rings up at $229.

I'm pretty sure it was for Christmas/Black Friday.

Around that time a lot of stuff that had already pennied, out reappeared in the PCA (Big husky compressors, Ridgid Tri-Stacks, etc.) Most of the stores I hit up never ordered anymore inventory for these items.

If it has an original UPC, like he said

If you can find a display of only a bottom (or they have sharpied the UPC, like on the one I bought), then they will enter the SKU.

Picked this up yesterday. Been on the clearance rack for a while and I was wanting a jig saw anyway. YMMV.

Grabbed a 2763 impact for $154 today. I know someone else here said they're at $140 elsewhere. I'll keep an eye out for price drops.

It occurred to me HD's complete inability to understand the concept of an exchange only hurts them - every time you do a return and rebuy you get a fresh receipt and the 90 day clock resets. Stupid.

Picked up a few types (CJ7Y, CJ8Y, and RJ19LM) of Champion spark plugs for my small engines today. They were half-price (so $1.20 each). I figure I can always use plugs, and they don't have a shelf life...:)

I figure it never hurts to have extras.

I noticed the big 52" husky they had dropped to $498 had a big dent in the back (wouldn't affect anything though)... Kind of tempted to see how much they would discount that one.... But do I *really* need it?
