Wheres the WOW factor? Almost all of those garages look like hotel lobbies and are severly lacking anything impressive (except for maybe some vettes and Ford GTs).

I guess marble floors in garages are going to be the new flat black....

The "garage" with the $%^&*%# law library and accompanying library ladder above the "work bench" with "garage-y looking bar stool" was especially lame. That being said, kudo's to the mechanic employed at each of these fine estates. I'm sure that guy is doing well for himself by just maintaining a fleet of a dozen cars.

Yeah, gotta say these look like car show rooms, not garages.

Garage for me has a significantly different definition--it isn't just "where the cars are." When a car's parked on a street...doesn't become a garage. When your neighbor drunkenly rams his corvette into his ex-wife's living room, parks it and walks away...doesn't become a garage.

Garage is where you keep your tools and equipment and where the work (at some point) gets done.

Maybe I'm just a romantic.

Maybe it's actually a ladder to bound volumes of Motor Trend and Grassroots Motorsports gone by? :lol_hitti

So I built a barn. Then I wanted heat, so I insulated and drywalled. Then I didn't like the looks of plain drywall, so I painted the bottom grey and added a stripe for a garage like feel. Then I painted the floor, and it was too nice to work in by now, so I sold the tools, and with the profits I bought a Ferrari and a Maserati.

What ? I should have gotten a Porsche and an Audi ? It's my hair. You don't like it, do you ? Hey, they were Snap Ons, and I got a really good deal on the Maserati.

Honestly guys, I was looking at a new thread the other day, and as a Builder, I couldn't figure out what would hold it up in a good stiff breeze. Plus there was no foam under the radiant, and no vapor barrier. But these rich guys, and their tooless wonderbarns...

Hey, stop me if you've heard this one. :lol_hitti
