Just bought the Harbor Freight US General 56 top & bottom toolbox today

I know that this topic has probably been beat to death here but I'm very happy with my purchase. Got the bottom for $649 with coupon instead of $719 and the top for $399. I was expecting to spend $409 for the top but was pleasantly surprised that they had changed the price to $399 since last week at my local HF. Took 2 trips with a Toyota Tundra to get the it to my place. A friend and myself had to open the box on the pallet in the truck and remove the drawers to get it off the truck but we got it done. Some of the ball bearing slides are a little tight and will be getting greased but for the price its a great setup. The paint is perfect. I decided to buy some of the Eppco drawer liners instead of the cheap ones included and its turned out great. Its shoved into a small garage for now but more pics to follow when I get the time. I was debating between the 56 and the 44 with the top and bottom and two of the 7 drawer end cabinets on each side but decided I really liked the deeper drawers on the 56 instead.

I've considered buying it but it seems like there is not enuff drawers and too many deep drawers. They are nice... enjoy it. Fill it up

I really like the bottom box they have. Would make a great work bench in my opinion. Those things feel rock solid and you could put a bit of a wood top on it to screw (or bolt) a vice to and weld on to prevent from scorching the metal. Just, man are they pricey (compared to other HF stuff, lol). I think though there is no reason not to get one if you have the money and need a big bottom box and don't have Snap-on, Mac, or Cornwell money to cough up.

Still a work in progress but Ive cut all the Eppco drawer liners and started filling out the drawers.

Still have to find a spot in the wrench drawers for my 6 point sets, probably going to use the Ernst space saver wrench rails.

What do you do with all those Milwaukee batteries? I have a about ten fuel 18v tools and only four batteries and with two of us working we can't run them down faster than they charge. Nothing wrong with it more is always better just curious.

I like the box. I have had the HF 44 combo for about 7 years and it hasn't let me down. I ran out of space and was about to buy the set you purchased but found a deal on a KRL 1033

most of the Milwaukee tools Ive bought have come from Home Depot and as a promo come with a free 3rd 5ah battery. So I have a lot of them, and a 9ah battery still new in its box. I should probably sell some of them off one of these days. Most have never been used.

I have the 44", sometimes I wish I had gone with the 56". I have already added one of the 7 drawer side boxes, will likely get the cabinet for the other side so that I can better store the stuff in hard cases. It would be nice to have another full with drawer down at the bottom.

They are. I bought the 3 piece plier wrench set as well as the cobras. Love them. Don't think I'll ever use an adjustable wrench again. The quality of them is great as well. I have a few other knipex pliers and they set the standard for quality pliers IMO.

Sorry wife already grabbed them for some drawers of hers. They just toss a few rolls in each toolbox. They aren't precut and they aren't the same style as the 44 & 72 ones. More of a mesh like material.

I had bought the 44"to use until my snap on guy ordered my custom box but it's been 3 months and he still hasn't ordered it he's pretty lousyi even offered to pay half down but he keeps forgetting to order it. I think because his truck is always so bare I think he's to broke to order such a big box or something. May end up going cornwell since I just got the local dealers name and number. The 44 set is okay but I got my tools crammed in there 3 layers deep and it ***** having to dig things out. I had to moved it by myself with a mini van it killed my back picking it up off the shipping pallet. It tipped over when I was filling it from having 3 drawers open not even half full but I caught it and hoisted it back up. It made well for price I should add just be careful opening drawers and don't try to stand in it like a snap on lol.

Finally finished cutting the liner for the top. Taken me a few weeks to find the time. Came out pretty good. Used the Eppco liners. Now I just need to find the time to fill it up!
