If anyone is local and interested, the Memphis, TN HD on Poplar has several of the 2130 Rocket Lights with the 5.0ah battery and 1812 charger for $175 on the overheads. There are also several of the tool only lights there too for the same price. So you might have to specify to the grumpy tool associate exactly what box you want... They're both the same price, so put eyes on it first.

ETA: store sku # is - 1001570349

Real quick question. Is there a way to back out of the SCO once you have scanned an item to check the price? I didn't see anything on the screen, so I just walked away.

I believe there is a "cancel" button on the screen.

Cancel or add to transaction. Amazon tap still at 06 in different distric. Probably behind return desk locked up.

I believe your issue is you have to first select "check price" vs just scanning. Then a box comes up that says add to transaction or cancel.

The UPC's are different. So might have an issue when its scanned. However you can always argue the marked price so they'd probably let it slide. I noticed that as well they both were marked the same.

They had some out with the anti-theft tags attached in one store I saw them. Still labeled and scanned at .06 though.

Ahhh that's it right there. I just scanned it right off the bat. Will use check price from now on. Thank you

With HD, anything is possible. Mine scanned with no problem and came up at the correct $175 price. The boxes also had DNI stuck to them so I imagine once they're gone, they're gone. Only wrinkle I had was I thought it came with the 9.0 battery vs the 5.0. That's my fault for not knowing the exact product though.

Interesting, Guess no issue then. I just looked at the sku on the bonus pack and compared it to the sku on the sticker and it was different. Really tempted to pick one up. Would love another drop though.

Yea, it was the only promo pack that had the 5.0, the circular saw and sawzall had the 9.0.

So question about the Milwaukee 46" BOTTOMS: if they're part of a combo do they even have a UPC?

I looked over 2 boxes on the floor yesterday and swear I couldn't find a bar code/UPC anywhere. I know the bottoms-ONLY should end in 8.

If they were set up (taken out of the box) then there wouldn't be a UPC on the outside. This is what my store did - they set up like 10 pairs on the floor. They put a SKU for the combo inside the top box. According to the PCA, they set up combos with single units.

No, they were still in their carboard boxes, strapped and all. I must just be blind, I didn't see a UPC anywhere. Maybe I'll look again.

Also, if anyone is ever looking for a moderate to expensive electronic device that's on clearance but are unable to locate it, check customer service. They keep a lot of that stuff locked up back there.

I found the certain amazon product in the PCA for 33.03 and it showed them on the end cap. They were actually behind the customer service desk.

While they had the curtain thing open, there was all kinds of smart devices on clearance. Couldnt tell exactly what they were because the guy closed it up pretty quick. Think they were wink type things...

The UPC that HD lists for the combo is the same UPC as the one thats on the top box of a combo (ending in 14)

All of the bottoms Ive seen have no UPC on them and are meant for combo sale, which is the real issue: the top and bottom aren't strapped together, so they end up separated and all sorts of mess ensues

Saw one yesterday with barcode on bottom under protective cardboard BUT it had red tape over it so it blended in with the box. Under the red tape the upc had a sharpie marked through it.

Yeah, maybe it's under the brown cardboard "tray."

The $1.00 things of hand sanitizer they sell at the registers tends to take Sharpie right off.....

Quite by accident I came across a brand new in an unopened box Bosch GCM12SD (the long coveted Axial Glide Arm 12" Dual Bevel Compound Gliding miter saw) at a local HD for $389. I bought it on the spot... didn't even wait to check the GJ forum. It was the last one remaining, other than the store display, which by the time I returned that afternoon, was gone as well.

Interestingly enough, another Home Depot still had the saw at $649, and the managers would not come down in price, even when presented with evidence that another store nearby sold the saw at that price. So much for HD "matching any price guaranteed". And it wasn't even a competitors store! So my friend didn't get one.

I think the issue is store merchandising space. HD is trying to make display space on the miter saw rack for the new battery operated saws from Milwaukee and DeWalt. They probably booted the saw with the lowest number of monthly turns, which is likely to be the most expensive saw on the rack. Hence the Bosch got booted. HD is paring down Bosh across the board anyway, previously replacing the laser level line with DeWalt near equivalents.

Some stores apparently still have enough room to continue to display the Bosch as well as the new battery saws, and it looks like those stores which had the room in the tool corral did not lower their price.

Except this morning now, for the first time, Home Depot just now lowered the online price to the Bosch down to $549. Not nearly as good as the $389 a few of us were lucky enough to snag this past week, but still better than the rock solid never discounted price of $649 that this saw has held for the last five or more years.

The Bosch has been on clearance at a few of my local stores for a long time now. Its just a matter of what clearance price they have been slinging around. A not-so-local store hit 389 over the weekend and sold the 3 they had, I waffled a bit on it so I missed out.

And still some stores near me are at the "regular" price of 649 (not the over inflated "regular" price of 900-something that they show on the sticker that no one has ever sold it for)

Do y'all use the HD app or a third party app/website to check for local store inventory?

PCA = Price Check "app" on the HD computers in the store. Really it's just a web page, but you can access it via their main menu on the computers. You have to use that for store inventory for clearance stuff...

Good find BigCountry on the cobra, those pennied out a LONG time ago, can't believe nobody caught it...

The Ridgid pipe wrench is full price at my store...

Garden area *still* has those pocket hoses and other garden stuff still @ .03 pricing, it's slowly selling away...

But while I was out there I saw a cart loaded with 4 big tubs of the chlorine granules, and thee boxes of shock. Ran inside and checked the computer to make sure they pennied. Right next to them was a shopping cart with scott's turf builder spray & Bayer brush killer, also pennied (even labeled)... lol... got several bottles each of those, left some for someone else to have a good day.

The guy at the self-checkout was like, "Man you are getting some deals!" as he was scanning all my stuff... haha!

Some of the husky tool sets are starting to drop. Also saw this little trailer hitch thing for riding mowers / atv's... waiting for those to go voodoo as I don't really need one...

I was waiting for the hitch-post just to drop from $24.06. LOL. Grabbed 2 today, with an Amazon Tap $33.03, and 6" wide Ames rake $3.36 for $38 after coupon/tax

I probably don't need it, but I remember enough hack-jobs trying to pull something with our lawn mower improperly, that this is more than worth the safety (if done right)

I found taps at a store that just dropped today. They showed 5 and could only find 3. I think employee was hiding waiting for drop. They still showed $129 on sticker.131017 yellow lantern $1.37. Old time battery.
