PCA = Price Check "app" on the HD computers in the store. Really it's just a web page, but you can access it via their main menu on the computers. You have to use that for store inventory for clearance stuff...

...

Thanks. I thought there was a chance it was something like that so I checked for computers or a price scanner while I was there. Couldn't find any except for the by the contractor checkout and they looked like they were for employees.

Found a Tap at a local store, even though PCA showed 0. Just went to customer service and asked. Lady joked as she came back out (after bringing both the Tap and Echo out) that she thought about saying no, and buying it later, but thought it would be wrong...

Just checked my local store and the Tap dropped there today as well. Showed 5 on the shelf but none to be found at the display or behind the curtain in CS. They even let me go back and look for them but nothing.

So here's one side of a lower....

This one, bottom right. They did a really good job getting a matching tape. But it's there.

They did that to one I bought over the phone, that was supposed to be part of the set, but they accidently thought they had one more bottom than they did. Ooops. So considering I drove 2 hours for it, they sold it for $240 before coupons.

I asked about the top, seeing as I was there. The manager said she would order in a bottom, rather than sell the top at clearance. Again, one of those situations where I can see someone coming in the next morning and getting it for $50 no problem with another mgr

$3 Milwaukee auto-retract razor locally. Bought it. Hated it. Returned it.

I'm glad I opened it walking out of the store.

Did you try it on any boxes? I am curious, as I bought a few for that purpose (rather return unopened if they do ****). It is a safety razor & has a rounded tip, so wondering if you were expecting something else.

I found taps at a store that just dropped today. They showed 5 and could only find 3. I think employee was hiding waiting for drop.
Naw I doubt it, its old people at that store in customer service (the one between harley davidson and dicks sporting goods), I found one up in the topstock in electrical, could not find the other so one is still showing in the system. Its somewhere in there but who knows, maybe stolen.

Okay thanks, I was way off. I started looking and trying to locate a echo weed eater , blower, or chainsaw for that price lol since weed eater was mentioned awhile back for 100 something.

The Echo is the original tall, in home speaker/ Alexa assistant

The Tap is the portable, battery powered speaker, only has assistant when there is wifi. No alexa on the go without hotspot.

The Dot is basically just the assistant with audio out. There is a small speaker, but it's not great. They are mainly for filling out different rooms of the house without buying a bunch of echos at triple the price.

Anyways, the price the Taps are clearancing at is a great buy, and you will get Alexa in your home for dirt cheap. It's also a bluetooth speaker if you or anyone you know needs one.

I incorrectly assumed that you would still be able to lock the blade in it's fully open position. You can not. You need to hold the slide forward to keep the blade exposed.

The blade also is only exposed probably half of what a "regular" razor is.

So if the Milwaukee lowers have the red tape it'll be the same UPC as a combo top ending in 4?

Or did all the lowers get their own, single distinct UPC that was supposed to have an on/off switch which is tape? ie remove tape and voila- you've engaged bottom-only mode...?

(I do know someone else already said its the same as a combo upper, just trying to really clarify)

I think the "sold alone" lowers got their own UPC. So, if you see a lower with red tape/sharpie through the UPC, it means they werent intended for combo sale.

I think the "combo" lowers have NO UPC on them, next time Im at my local store I will check to verify that (they have one combo left).

I think they effed it all up because they didnt strap the combo pieces together and they all ended up separated. Unlike their Husky combos, there is no "Box 1 of 2" markings on them, so the HD drones have no idea to keep everything together.

But that's been the discussion....they apparently have tape over the UPC. I didn't spot it in person but think I see it in my pics above.

Yes, so peek under the tape and I bet you see a UPC ending in 128.

The combo lowers had the exact same UPC as the combo uppers. That way, either one could be scanned for the combo price. I was the one that started looking at the UPC differences I. The beginning of all this.

Or some unsuspecting cashier could charge you $1400.00 for your $700.00 combo

:)

Its a fuster cluck, all they needed to do was have the boxes labelled with 1 of 2, 2 of 2.

Well, if one let's the cashier ring up the combo for 1400, that's an entirely different issue. I believe the description says combo when one is rung up.

i bought one of those husky adjustable tables for 149$ mentioned here. two things:

1) at minimum height, it is about 32.5", while the desk near it is 30". doesnt sound like a big deal until you sit down to type. . . . .

2) it went together surprisingly easily, and seems well made.

all in all, looks like a great value for 149$.

It does. I had them get down a lone upper, turned out it was a combo sku. Still took it to the register since I felt bad for the guys getting down. Rang up 698 and it showed like 1 of 2 or something on the screen. Said no thanks and pushed it over to the side.

I know I'm new but thanks to this thread I was able to pick 2 dewalt bottom cabinets #1000042423 for $114 each! Been looking for something like this for awhile! It's no snap-on like I'm used to but should be plenty for a basement work area! Thanks to all!

Im just glad their policies are screwed up in our favor, most of the time.

Im not talking about the "official" policies on price adjustments etc....because those change from person to person and time of day to time of day!

Here are the 3 different UPC for the top, bottom, and combo. I'm still trying to find a bottom somewhere.

Hello All

Just want to thank everyone who contributes and I hope to be more active as I just joined last month. I came across the site when looking for Homedepot information on a clearance product. I am a self confessed tool addict, don't go much for the big ticket items as I'm only a DIY homeowner and pretty much have what I need right now. But I will tell you...every Christmas there are 11 male relatives who I put together, what now everyone calls... their "Man Bag". Small tools I've purchased throughout the year from HD, Lowes, Sears, HF. Try to spend around $10 on each. I'll tell you, with a little work and foresight, you can put together a nice gift for $10 finding clearance items. Generally multi screwdrivers, Flashlights, free **** from HF to throw in a drawer, craftsman bags....whatever.

Just want to thank everyone. My Local HD seems to be a few weeks behind setting these prices though.
