Saw these Kobalt screwdrivers on this forum and figured for $30 it was worth it.

I picked up a Kobalt set a few weeks ago @ Lowes and now they're on sale for 22.48. I brought my receipt back in and they credited my CC the difference. An even better deal now!

Man I've been going back and forth on ASTRO vs OTC vs ATD.

Did you pick up the ASTRO with a specific project in mind?

The kit looked the same as OTC as far as I could tell but I figured I'd give Astro a shot with all the love they get on GJ. Planning on using it for doing U joints in my 2009 Silverado.

Supposedly you can find "Made in USA" OTC kits. That's the only reason I was thinking OTC over the others. OTC 7942 kit with the Astro adapter set.

Let me know how that Astro kit works for you/what you think about it.

It's been several years since OTC briefly dabbled with a 'made in china' 7249 ball joint press. They've been back to all 'Made In USA' since 2014 at least.

I just bought a hex bit ratchet. I need it mostly for my car. Sometimes a bit screwdriver is too long and a 1/4" drive ratchet may also not fit. So I looked around and ended up buying a General brand hex bit ratchet. It does not have a hex bit drive on one side and a 1/4" drive on the other side, but I do have a hex bit-to-1/4" drive adaptor anyway, so I can use 1/4" drive sockets and hex bits. Very useful for working on door panels and the dashboard.

I got the 7865 set as well  Ordered from Amazon yesterday, arrived today. I'm surprised at how heavy it is, the box it came in barely held it. Seems to be of good quality, I haven't had trouble with anything Astro yet.

Some toys from the Matco truck. The light is super bright. The noid lights were a used trade in and the 1/4" torque wrench was a (never) used trade in.

Unfortunately Imgur blocks Garage Journal so the only people who can see them are those who have recently visited Imgur and still have their temp cookie on their device.

Imgur photos no longer work on garage journal forums?

Apparently the reason is because GJ has a classified section where items get sold. Same reason Imgur blocks ebay & the like.

Another really bad photo service to use is photobucket. It doesn't work reliably with all sorts of browsers and the service itself blocks huge swaths of the internet (like 50% of all ip ranges). For example, the post right above mine. I can't see the images. Haven't been able to see a photobucket image in years no matter what browser or device I use. I even have an account and can't see images I tried posting to it. Took a long time to figure out they essentially block my entire ISP's ip ranges. Their support finally admitted it but would not give any explanation why. A google search shows many many many others face the same issue with that photo host service.

I realized I never posted this stuff. Bought some old stock from a retired Matco dealer a little while back. This is what I kept:

Dent kit (not sure how well it works), torx screwdrivers, 1/2" speeder, battery tester, some multimeter accessories, ignition module tester, some other odds and ends.

Thank you for the explanation. I had no idea imgur was fussy about picture usage. I have used photobucket and tinypic (owned by photobucket) without any problems on my end for my Ebay auctions for many years!

EDIT: I uploaded the image on tinypic and hotlinked it into my previous posts and I can see it. Can you see the picture?

some of you need to learn to scale photos down.

My boss has the snapon one. Needs a lot of air but it's kind of heavy IMO. But that helps to weaken the blows impacted through to your hand

Found a Made-in-Germany tire pressure gauge at a garage sale today. I compared with my other gauges and it works fine. Does anybody know this brand? The logo appears to be an intertwined DLB.

I hope the picture shows for everyone. I can see it.

Building my cabinet shop and had always planned for a tablesaw upgrade. Couldn't afford a $4000.00 plus pwermatic or new Unisaw. General closed the Canadian manufacturing plant a few years ago and original machines are much sought after. Found this gem on Kijiji and snapped it up. Haven't had the chance to play with it yet, need to run a larger wire for the plug, I had anticipated buying a 3 hp, 13 amp saw, wound up with a 5 hp, 19 amp saw.

Added a 60 volt grinder to the Dewalt collection. Sick of dragging cords and hoses around. It's amazing how much power all these tools have.
