Right now with a coupon through Advance auto parts I can buy Gearwrench flex head ratcheting wrench sets in metric and SAE for $55 total. I don't own any gearwrench tools so are they a good buy or should I pass?

BOTH sets for $55 or $55 each? Either way, I'd buy. I would have no problem using their products daily.

The flexhead ratcheting wrenches are life changing. Very good tool and incredibly useful. If it's really $55 for both set, snap them up!

They are on sale for $35 each right now so you must have a speedperks reward too? Since you can't use coupon code on sale items.

Worked for me. Normally $70 but discounted to $55 with TCXEBX. Good deal but not crazy good, these go on sale for 50% off every once and a while through advance auto. I'd probably snag a set if I didn't already have the non-flex head ratcheting. Definitely worth the money though they have worked excellently

you can also add one of the speed perks coupons that you get from a previous purchase. I was able to get it down to $51.98. I wish I had a $20 off, or I would pull the trigger for sure. I think I'm going to wait until next time, I really don't need another set of wrenches.

Gearwrench does these "buy the metric, get the SAE free" deals a lot. I bought the 16 piece metric flex head, got the SAE free. Also bought the 16pc metric reversible, got the SAE free. And bought a long handle non-ratchet set and got the SAE free. All within the last year.

Gearwrench sell just about everything in a BOGO or PROMO deal, that's how I got all my tools basically:

Buy 3/8 socket set, got the 1/4 set for free
Buy metric long pattern combo wrenches, got metric and SAE stubbies for free
Buy serpentine kit, got the double X pliers kit for free

etc...

There are some great deals out there for their products, just have to be vigilant and know where to look.

I just bought both sets for $39.98 using the TCXEBX code and a $20 SpeedPerks reward. I've been wanting these for a while -- thanks for the heads up!

Looks like the sets Sears had all holiday season at $29.99 ea, yes? I literally bought at least 4 sets of ea metric and SAE for various vehicle tool bags and gifts, paying $14-22 per set depending upon what sort of crazy SYWR points they were throwing around.

edit: Sears was selling the 4405/4406 which seemed to be special to Sears....but still 7pc flex w the same sizing. These had the knurling on the edges, not sure if others do
