Looks like Carry-On Trailers are at a steep discount right now. The Lowes website shows them ranging from 20% to 47% off. Granted these are pretty cheap trailers as-is, they could be great for yard work or short hauls.

Unfortunately for me, it looks like that sale doesnt apply in Alaska. Where it usually shows local inventory, the website states "Due to local prohibitions, this item is not currently sold in your area"

https://www.lowes.com/pl/Trailers-Trailers-ramps-Automotive/4294641556?searchTerm=trailer

Edit: I just called my local Lowes and they have quite a few of several models in stock. All with the discount.

this might not be a big deal for the lower 48ers but trailers are spendy as heck up here. I'll probably pick a few of them up.

Hopefully they are still there when I get off work... sounds like they had quite a few in stock. I would love to get their small 3.5x5 for a lawn tractor plus one larger one so we can tow the atvs around with my wifes jeep.

That's interesting. What is the "was" price shown at?

Im guessing our price is shown higher. Prices on large items, especially trailers, always get an additional markup due to freight/shipping costs.

For reference. My $6000 8x16 continental cargo goes for about 30-40% more than I paid for it down south.

So basically, in Alaska HD uses the "was $***" advertised prices - the same as Harbor Freight. Time for a class action lawsuit :lol_hitti

New Age Garage Cabinets - Reg $179, on Clearance for $99

Has anyone used these? I'm looking for cabinets, but trying to decide if I want to spend the money for new or just get some used cabinets from Craigslist.

I'm pretty sure that the Gladiator cabinets regularly go on sale for the same price of $99 - maybe even less. The Gladiators are very well reviewed and are made in the USA. Note that I am referring to the pre-assembled (welded) cabinets, not the knock-down Chinese ones also sold by Gladiator.

I saw that at my store also, but it is just a piece of MDF with a ruler printed on it. I'd rather just cut a piece of wood to custom fit the space that I want a work surface.
Yeah, I hear Y'a, and if we trim them to fit a 26" box,
Your going to gave exposed MDF that will allow moisture to wick in.
Still, sometimes I can't bass a "bargain" ......lol MY store shows 14.
Id sure as heck not pay $30.00. The sears ones for $20.00 were a lot nicer.

question for you fellas.. i've never returned anything to Lowe's until last week... returned a washer i bought last monday. how long is it supposed to take to have the money put back on my debit card? just checked my bank account and it's not in there. i've never waited more than 3 or 4 days for a return to go back (at other stores).. this pretty common at lowes?

I believe the issue is not Lowes but the fact that it was a debit card. For some reason refunds take longer with debit cards. Many hotel lobbies have signs because of frequent complaints. I don't understand it completely but they just take longer.

That's funny, because depending on the merchant, my debit returns are done almost instantly, but if they were done the CC method, they take several days. Going debit the debit route for a return, they ask for the pin, so it seems that it has to be put back right then.

There are also other factors, such as your bank. The hotel example is poor, I believe, because that involves the hotel holding your card # until they make sure there aren't any additional charges, so their system is a little different.

Ordered a set with 10% off- foam tray looks good.

If you are going to put it in a toolbox, check the dimensions. I really liked the idea that it would go in a toolbox drawer and have the screwdrivers nicely organized, but it doesn't fit in any of my 4 toolboxes. Great idea, dumb execution. If they had just made it an inch or two smaller, they would have greatly increased the number of people who could use it.

I cut the Torx section off and put it in another drawer. HF 44" box.

I tried 3 stores that all showed having 8+ and all of them called me back saying the sets were unavailable. Bummer...looks like a nice throwdown set and I really like the foam organizer.
If you want to take a peak yourself, my store had them in the clearance tool section, not with the rest of the screwdrivers.

Lowe's doesn't do debit PIN returns. Signature (credit) method only.

Debit laws were written in the banks favor. Credit laws are in the consumers favor. Not sure if it is still the case, but a few years ago the bank had up to 30 to give you your money back on a debit transaction.

You may never have a problem with your debit account, but i won't use one and I tell everyone I meet about the issues I am aware of.

Why use a debit card? That links straight to your cash in your bank. With all the cyber theft these days why chance it.

Yes the laws are different now than when debits first came out but still a pain.

I could use at least 50 of these. Nothing in my AO though. Its a pain in the **** searching for them on the lowes website. Any other way to search for these?

I used the "check other stores" button. At the bottom of that window there is a button that says "view more". I had to shrink my screen to 75% for it to show up. You can type in different zip codes to see different stores. If there are any in stock, they will show up like the screenshot below:
