Google is your friend keep thinking that (wish I had it 40 years ago).
Type in fleet tools and then find Fleet tools history.

Except wikipedia is wrong.............
I just got this Fleet 1/2 Drive breaker bar. It has a comfort grip handle, but the shape is different than Wright. Any idea who makes it?
I'm still curious how a Fleet and SK breaker bars have the same rubber grip. I can't see SK making them for Proto, or vise versa. Perhaps they both purchased them from the same third party supplier
Here is my 1/2" drive Challenger bar with a similar looking handle.

What do you see is wrong? Only thing that stands out to me is I know I have / seen Penens marked Chicago, not Cleveland.
Penens was never a company. Plomb created it, out of Fleet. http://toolarchives.com/node/394
I actually hadn't considered that but it's certainly a good point, and warrants further investigation. Thanks for the info on your site!
Off topic..It makes me wonder if all those Penens marked pear head ratchets are pre 1956 since they all say Penens Corp instead of Penens Tool Corp.
