HD usually have deals like these on the M12's?

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...ulti-Tool-Tool-Only-2453-22-2426-20/205810115

Looking to get my mom a house warming gift, and she's used to using ****** screw drivers.

I wouldn't recommend an impact. #1 complaint is noise. With the exception of new hydraulic 18v models that are up to 50% quieter, any 18v impact requires hearing protecetion according to OSHA. I probably don't follow most of their rules, but that is one I do think about. The 12v won't be as loud of course.

Also that is the Fuel mode, so probably way overkill, but the lower model usually isn't bundles with a free tool. HD should have a similar 12v Fuel Drill with a free extra. I would probably go that route between the 2. It will be quieter and I think there are more instances or applications for her to use it with.

edit: 12v fuel drill + multi-tool

Try searching M12 Fuel at HD then sort by cheapest 1st $160-200 & you should see quite a few 2-tool kits @ "$169". I did the 2597 impact & drill although I think this impact is way to close in power/noise to the 18v ones.

All this time I assumed the new Surge hydraulic impact was an M12 tool. Oops.

The size of the 18v impacts are so compact, that I decided the Surge would replace both my regular 12v & 18v Fuel impacts, but do have a 12v & 18v drill due to a significant size/weight difference there.

If I want a smaller impact, I put on the compact battery :bounce: The smoothness & quietness of the Surge have me sold

I am sure there are times I would wish I had the Fuel but not enough. Push come to shove, I'll throw an adapter on the 1/2" Impact

Shill?

I see a couple "okay" prices but mostly "are you kidding?" pricing.

A 2763-22 for $480?
The Surge kit 2760-22 for $350

Hes got a deal going on right now that you buy the M18 string trimmer kit with 9.0 and get a free M18 fuel blower or hedge trimmer for $305 with free shipping.

Its not on his website but its on his facebook page.

I would definitely do that if I could see it somewhere. :)

CPO seems to be having a 20$ off over 150$ sale. while not groundbreaking, it does seem to include refurbished tools:

http://www.cpooutlets.com/mil20sale/mil20sale,default,sc.html

i admit if they had better availability of refurbished, i would likely pull the trigger on a 2763-80, but they dont, so i can't.

i learned today that the 20$ off does not apply to refurbished tools, even though it is being shown as available on some refurbished tools' pages.

you can create a Facebook account for free, for any reason, good or bad. you can contribute as much or as little as you want.

I have one. I meant it as a suggestion for bcradio. Like, in a "Why don't you?" sort of way.

I picked up the trimmer kit with a free blower over the weekend. I got my tracking number late last night and delivery is scheduled for tomorrow but i think it will really be Thursday. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I took advantage of the facebook deal: $305 for trimmer kit and blower. I ordered over the weekend and got it today. Good deal, fast shipping, and no tax!

I also received my String Trimmer/Hedge Trimmer yesterday (ordered on the 6th). Incredible deal! I wish I had not already purchased the blower a few weeks ago as I would have preferred that as my free tool. Not sure how much I'll use the hedge trimmer...

I have a join out to that group from yesterday. Still no word. Is there any other way to get the Facebook deal?

My group status is still pending. I have a feeling mine will be declined, as I use nothing close to a real name on Facebook, nor will I.

I'm pretty sure you could just send him the money by paypal without being a member of his group. He posts the following on every deal:

"PayPal [email protected] goods and services just leave in the comments what you're getting and address please"

Seems a little sketchy that he doesn't do it through a website or invoice or anything, but there are plenty of people vouching for him. I got my stuff and am quite happy with the deal.

never owned milwaukee tools, saving to buy a kit... was at home depot and played with the brushless hammer drill (not fuel) and when you pulled the trigger, let it spin, and let go of the trigger it wound down like an old style drill... shouldn't it stop when you let go of the trigger? it looked pretty beat up, it was a store display.

I have used that exact drill before and it didn't do that. So I suspect someone must have damaged the unit, although I have no idea how you could manage that in a store...

Are you sure it wasnt the outer portion of the chuck?

Without a bit in mine, the outer portion will spin up/down when the trigger is pulled since its not tightened onto anything.

Cant say I have noticed that but I do see they are having some recon sales right now and one can get $25 off $150 purchase or $50 off $300 on select recon items SAVERECON and there also seems to 10% off select new and recons NOCORD promo

I am tempted on a recon Fuel 2730 saw for $134 with discount :p

Well I don't know what you tried but it all worked great for me and was able to stack discounts too!

First I put together the Fuel 2730-80 circular saw and a brushed 2621-80 sawzall and I got $25 off of $150 on the circ with saver recon code and with no cord got 10% on the cip saw .

So that was $259 total and with discounts came out to 223.10 and free shipping

Then I added in a 2720-80 fuel sawzall and I also got 10% off that too plus it also boosted the recon discount to $50 as I went over the $300 mark

So the total then before discounts was $407 and after applying both codes the cart total was $332.20 with free ship

Maybe try it again :dunno:
