We have launched the TruContain containment ma[/URL]t. We made a couple of changes from the competitor product we were selling and incorporate some things in from some other products we sell. Also available on Amazon.com WalMart and several other locations.

  • One Piece Construction
  • Attractive Gray Color
  • Modified the Texture
  • Added a Free Floor Squeegee
  • 4 Standard Sizes starting at $149.99
  • Used a slightly thicker, better grade material.
  • Moved seams to bottom of the mat

These are not decorative garage flooring items. They are designed to keep all the **** off the floor. That said we made dome modifications to make them less intrusive and in keeping with a high-end garage

What is the weight for the 22 ft long version? What size does the mat fold to (I'm trying to figure out how much space it takes when you want to put it away).

Thanks.

The shipping weight is about 30 pounds and it is in a 17x17x25 box. The way I roll them after use, they tare typically llarger . Never put a tape measure on it put I would say its like 30" diameter 20" wide

i've kind of been interested in these.... but not exactly sure how to justify. Whats the main benefits?

Very basic. All the crud that comes off the car stays off the garage floor. Water does not run all over the place. In last couple years they have 'taken over' winter sales

Containment mats such as these are great for people who live in colder winter climates that have to deal with snow, ice, and slush, during the winter seasons. You just park your car or truck on it and all the snow, road salts, and water collect on the mat instead of on your garage floor. Just keep one end of it near the door and all you have to do is squeegee it out over the lip on the end when it starts to fill up. They keep your garage floor looking nice and you don't have to worry about tracking crud into the house.

We just received one of the TruContain mats to evaluate. It's definitely high quality and the seams are flawless. The dark gray color is nice as well. I ran a garden hose in it for 5 minutes full blast and it hadn't come close to filling it up. The one we received was 18' long and once rolled back up it was a little larger than an older over sized sleeping bag.

Thanks Shea! Did you find another surprise in the box?

The big thing people need to remember. These are not garage flooring. They protect the floor and the items on the floor.

Another benefit (or at least the reason I'm thinking of getting one here in sunny So. Cal.) is to put it under the car when I am detailing/cleaning it to keep cleaning chemicals, water, etc. from getting all over my rust bullet coated floor. I'd rather not have to clean my floor after I've cleaned my car. My question as to storage size is so I can gauge how much effort and space it takes to take it out and fold it back and put it away each time.

Don't understand, why do people not use them in the summer? The cars still bring lots of dirt and debris in the garage so why store them?

I am thinking of ordering 3 (9x22) and wondering, am I missing something here?

Justin, I know they are on sale, any discount for ordering multiple mats?

Thanks

I agree with you. Prices are absurdly low right now just to move inventory. Never ever been this low and probably wont be again. I apologize but I cant discount any further

How do I place an order, call the store or just do it on line? Also, could I buy one and see if it works for my application and then order the other two, would that be OK?

Thanks

Does moisture build up under the mats from coming up through the concrete floor? So if I were to lift the mat up, would it be bone dry or wet underneath? I ask because I'm considering something like this to go over my flush mount scissor lift, so it would need to stay dry underneath but if moisture builds up it won't do me much good.

Have taped down any Saran Wrap to your floor and left it for a few days? I think this would tell you what you can expect. Everybody has different conditions so if you have a concern, do this test on your own.

Its PVC.... If moisture is under it and there is no place for it to go, it is not going through the mat. Usually the small amounts we see are still able to evaporate or soak back in to untreated concrete, but if you have a known issue, I would be cautious.

Like that video.

Even a little heavier like a clear plastic paint tarp
