Stanley Plane

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen a Stanley plane with the name on the lever backwards? I just bought a number 4 1/2 with the name backward on the lever. Thanks

How old is that plane? Have any other pics? That lever looks veey newish and the "stanley" stamp looks new but the wood handle in the photo looks much older... seems weird to me but maybe just something ive never seen. Pretty sure the old ones dont have anything like that.

You may have some kind hybrid lr custom peice.

Looks like a newer plane. The lateral lever was probably made on a Monday.
