Rust bullet vs a poly... 50x50 garage

I'm looking for a coating but budget is running thin....I want to have flake in it. Just for looks mainly. I know you can do this with rust bullet but what about the poly? Any experiences from people here? Is rust bullet really on 88 Cents a square foot for a finished product? I'm looking to stay around $1 a square foot. Looking for oil resistant, brake fluid, antifreeze, etc

I see rust bullet is about .88 CEnts a square foot or so I'm told...

I also see a SPGX from armorpoxy and with the 25% off it's like $1800 for one coat of it...

Rust Bullet with flake is a little more than what you are thinking. Polyurea, with flake is going to rune you about $3,100. Rust Bullet with clear and flake about $2,400.

I'm in the same situation. Not looking to spend to much but don't want it to flake off in a couple of years either.

So what your saying armor epoxy is .50 cents a square foot but then a needed clear coat which is how much a square foot?


Rust bullet at $2400 isn't to bad and heard easy to apply is a big benefit. How does it stand up to automotive fluids

Hi,
Any system you use with flecks you need a clear coat. SPGX would be a coat of pigmented to fleck into, and then a coat of clear SPGX to protect it. If you don't topcoat flecks, you end up with millions of dirt collecting edges, plus the flecks themselves can get dirty and stained if not protected. You would be looking at around $1.00/ft for either two coats of SPGX, or alternately 3 layers (primer, epoxy/flecks, topcoat) for our www.armorcladepoxy.com.

If you don't want flecks than a single coat of SPGX would be great and super resistant to all kinds of automotive fluids since it is a polyurea/polyaspartic hybrid.

My Rust Bullet has been down over two years. No problems with lift up or anything else. I clean any oil or grease with brake clean with no effect on it.

I'm having a similar experience.

After grinding the year old floor (what a project) I put four coats of RB on my 1000sf shop floor. Just RB ... no clear, no flakes, no anti-skid.

So far no lift. If I drag something heavy across it, there might be a scratch that looks like it goes through the top coat. I've dropped a few really heavy things on the floor, sometimes (not all the time) takes out a small chip through the top one or two coats. No lifting around the chips.

I clean up oil, grease, gear lube, and brake fluid with brake clean. Often oil and gear lube cleans up with just a paper shop towel. Using a fine bristled push broom, the floor cleans up very quickly ... even really fine dust and grit.

RB gave me a slightly textured surface that for whatever reason is not slippery when wet or has snow on it. Really like it.
