April 24th, I got a phone call that my Grandma was in the hospital. Long story short, she passed on April 27th. She was 92 years old and had a long and happy life. While visiting with my parents and waiting for the funeral, I was able to score some really cool stuff from my Dad and it was 100% free. I received a vise, sander/buffer, oilers, and some really old calipers which belong to my Uncle.another device which was my Grandpa's. So here is a picture of what I brought back home.

I appreciate it and they will get stored in my honey hole and be ready for someday to pass onto my son. I will never use them.

My sympathies for your families loss. I've lost 2 in the last 18mos, so I feel it too.
Cool that you are keeping family tools to carry on.

If that vise is the model I think it is, I bought mine new off the shelf in 1989. So figure +/- on its age. I've worked mine hard at times, and it it still looks almost new. It's a good medium duty vise for general bench work.

That silver oil can in the middle of the photo was made by Eagle. If the base of it is 4", it was used on a great many military vehicles during WW2-jeeps, especially. Military vehicle guys are looking for originals like that.

Thank you Sir. I am betting my DAD picked it up at an auction. He like going to auctions and getting stuff. I seen a bunch of them sell on Ebay for $100+. I plan on mounting it and using it for a long time. I have a black & Decker, but wasn't really happy with it. It was one of those quick release. Father-In-law gave me that one.
