We had a local guy do it. I was out of town when it was put down so I am not sure what materials were used. I'll try to find out for you.
Getting things prepped to do the electrical work now. Need to get two of the vehicles mobile again in order to have some overhead work done.

That space has potential! I like how the garage design compliments the existing house by picking up on similar design cues. Please post up a photo once the brick work is completed so we can we the finished view from the road.

Here is the view from down the drive way with the brickwork done.
Not certain if I ever shared a photo of the doors with the siding and lights finished, so here is this.
In the late months of summer everything was ran for electricity, less what will be needed for the lift. I made a prevision for having a heater in the northwest corner of the garage that will be added later this year, and a dedicated receptacle between the two doors to power an air compressor was added.
Three weeks ago an electrician came out to run power to the garage. Had to bore a hole underground and run wire from the south side of the house (left side in the driveway view) and send it between our pond and out to the garage. This was done to maintain the use of the 220 behind the house for a future hot tub on the not-yet existing deck. Today the garage door openers were installed. Pretty simple, and really quiet for a chain driven unit. Remotes have really good range.
Overhead lights were purchased at Costco on sale for ~40% off of the prices we were seeing elsewhere, so that didn't sting quite as bad as previously anticipated. Thirty, 6ft twin bulb units were used. It does not quite give you a headache to be in there with them all on, but it may be close. Chances are that the center row will be taken down and used at a bench along the north wall.

Not sure, exactly. It's the first time I've noticed that. We plan on insulating the inside of the garage, but that would have helped.
On new construction especially something this nice I would be concerned as to why they didnt use tyvek.
I am looking into why that was done. I do not have any photos showing it, but it was used on the north wall.

Great looking shop! I'm comparing a stick framed shop to a pole barn and clear span metal framed building. Did you consider any other framing options? Was there a significant cost increase for the stick framed building?

Thanks! We knew from the beginning that we wanted the area to be free from any obstructions, so this is all that we considered. There was a difference in cost, naturally, but I do not recall it being substantial looking back.
