I have an old one from western auto, bought in the 70s. I wouldn't say its the best, but its hung out in the rain for years and still works great.23e0cc82d772bd58143058d1a7d24966.jpg

48548,

What is your opinion on the Univer-Co Lock-On coupler.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but they don't tell us how you like it!:lol_hitti

My dad just bought one at the truck shop and it went back the next day. That tells you what he thought of it... and this guy has greased equipment for almost 60 years.

Just got two of the red Alemite pistol grip grease guns this Spring. Awesome grease guns. I also have an older Lincoln Power Luber and find that the Alemite couplers work better on that the Lincoln ones, or the crappy chinese Napa ones I'd been using.

You should go with DEWALT DCGG571M1 20-volt MAX Lithium Ion Grease Gun or CARBYNE Heavy Duty Professional Quality Pistol Grip Grease Gun. They're both really good.
I have used this one DEWALT DCGG571M1 20-volt MAX Lithium Ion Grease Gun for 2 years now.
You can find more information on amazon by or google it to find like this one https://innovatecar.com/best-grease-gun/ here.

I bought a Lincoln pistol grease gun back in the 90s, used it a lot. I've broken the return springs multiple times but it always pumps grease.
One thing I did was add a union so I could use two hoses together for extra long reach.

I have both of the Lucas oil ones from HD the small one has already broken but the large one is far nicer it has a nice grip on the tube and has a lifetime warranty not sure of the price as I bought mine for 10 bucks in the box at a flea market. The little one was like $15

I have one just like that! no markings on it that I can see. I put a new cartridge of grease in it yesterday. I had been wanting a grease gun for my boat and other stuff at my cottage, and went to Oreillys-I looked at the "Made in India" Lincoln, and decided to see if I could get that old one hanging from a nail in my barn to work (picked it up at a yard sale in a bucket of stuff years ago). It was coated with dried, crusty grease, and there was still an empty Sunoco grease tube in it. A few pumps with a new tube, and it's working like new.

I like mine... works great.

I have one and had mixed results. On a tractor with a European made loader, it works perfect. It rarely wants to lock onto the grease zerks on anything else. I think what is going on is, the Univer-co coupler likes smaller sized zerks since any other coupler has leaking issues on that loader, but the Univer-co coupler is perfect. Too bad that's all it worked on. It's hiding in a drawer until winter when I might stick it back on a grease gun just for that tractor.

I have had issues with grease guns for a long long time. Finally decided to get one that wasn't a cheap piece of junk. The Alemite 555 E arrived today. I need to pick up a tube of grease tomorrow. I hope this one works as expected.

We use Mato ones, made in Germany, I know the Facom one is a rebrand of it and I expect there are plenty of others. Their flex hose is decent and the guns are fine, they are very reasonably priced.

Based on this post I picked up a Mato manual grease gun. It came in the mail today, made in West Germany.

What's the part number of these Matco ones? The GG45 I have leaks from every orifice, the coupler was so stuck to grease zerks it pulled them of what they were threaded into, and it leaks from every orifice it has. West Germany hasn't existed for years. I wonder if the folks getting these ones are getting decent old stock?
