I've been reading all the modular flooring threads for two years, just waiting for it to finally be my time! Well the time has come. After a lot of pondering and getting samples from both Racedeck and Swisstrax I settled on the Swisstrax.

You can see my epically long 2 year build thread in my signature line if you want all the details but if not here is some garage floor **** for you.

Colours are Royal Blue, Slate Grey and Pearl Silver. Done up to match my 30th Anniversary Trans Am.

If you're still twitching for more I also put together this video compilation covering the installation.

Enjoy!

Great looking floor! I've always liked the Pearl Silver that SwissTrax uses. It goes well with any color.

Looks Great!!! I'll be curious to know how easy the tiles are clean sawdust out of. I see you're into woodworking as well and that is my only hesitation...cleaning out the sawdust!

Thanks!

This was my primary concern heading in to this. I loved the ribbed tiles, but I didn't want to create a nightmare for myself. Everyone told me just to do it and I would be happy. I briefly considered doing the "shop" portion of the garage with the solid tiles and doing the parking section with the ribbed, but I eventually ruled that out.

In the beginning I did some testing of both products with sawdust and a vacuum.

It isn't perfect, but it's not bad. The other thing is once the sawdust gets under the tile, who cares??? Just leave it there. A yearly clean out is required regardless, so I'm not overly concerned.

Once I get cutting I'll post an update.
