Sk tools metric set 94562

Hey guys I just bought an sk hand tools set 94562 which is in metric to give to my first son when he grows up. I was wondering if anybody knew if sk offered a similar set in standard?

Yea that's the set I just want thought it was weird they wouldn't have the set in standard I guess I can just purchase the 1/4 and 3/8s separately

ummmm............no.

that is an auto body starter set that includes the 48 pc sae and metric 1/4 drive drive set and the 49 pc sae and metric 3/8 drive set with several other sets of wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers and other misc items. while all of the pieces in the 94562 set may be in there the set itself is not part of that kit and i doubt the op wants to buy his son an auto body kit.

as others have said, the 94526 is kind of on its own and does not have a similar sae set to go with it.

sk has offered similar sae sets in the past but i don't know of anything now. the closest way to get what you want would be to get a 4921 that is a 21 pc 1/4 drive set that covers standard and deep sizes up to 9/16 with ext's and drivers and the 4521 that covers most standard and deep sizes in 3/8 drive from 1/4 to 3/4 plus ext's and ratchet. each comes in a blow molded case. there are several other sets if you want a few more sizes and extra drive tools but the ones i mention would give you a very similar assortment of sae sizes and drive tools to what is included in the 94526 set.


if you wished to return the set, the 48 pc sae/metric 1/4 drive set and the 49 pc sae/metric 3/8 drive are good solid sets that cover almost any 1/4 or 3/8 drive need that may arise. the only things that really seem to be lacking from any of those sets are a 1/4 inch spin handle and a 3/8 breaker bar.

of course all of us tool junkies would insist that you need more extensions, long ratchets, flex ratchets, palm ratchets, locking extensions, wobble extensions, flex sockets and mid depths but i digress.
