So for those who have them, tell me about the good, the bad, and the ugly please?

I picked up a few of them used, and I'm very much considering completing the set.

I have a set and have no complaints at all. I'm a big fan of spline box ends and the ASD open ends work well. Ratcheting action is smooth and tight. Only thing I would improve is the beam thickness. It is a little narrow. I prefer wide, squared beams so you can really lean on them without digging into your hand.

Are the ratcheting mechanisms strong enough to really lean in to? That's my fear when really pushing ratcheting wrenches, is the guts will let go.

I mean, you kind of have to know when enough is enough. My set only goes up to 3/4" but really only use the smaller 7/16-5/8" wrenches. I've put some weight on them, but nothing extreme. Even the best Snap On set has its limitations. For those real tough fasteners, I use my DBE Matco's or XL Gearwrench sets. Bust them loose with the fixed end, flip it over and ratchet them off.

Meaning??? Are you saying the open end will spread?

I've never seen anything on the country of origin, where are they made?

Meaning the available sizes go larger than the USA standard chrome ones.

Got it, thank you for the clarification.

While I very much like the wrenches, I'm very annoyed that Proto has decided to engage in sleight of hand in regards to their country of origin.

Well, they are a part of Stanley, and we know how honest they have been on this issue...

They're pretty nice quality. I do have a brand new set in the classifieds.
