Hello all.. first post been reading a lot here for the past month or so..

I ma gearing up to Epoxy coat my garage floor. Ive read a lot of good info here but one thing I cant seem to find info on is garage steps.

I have an attached 2 car garage with concrete steps leading into the garage.

Do people normally coat these as well ? I would think so but seems like it would be a pain/time consuming given the time sensitive nature of the epoxy coatings.

Yes. I have a company coat it but i notice they don't clearcoat the edge of the steps so it is just flakes. Makes it hard to slip if you misplace your foot

Epoxy by itself is not UV resistant, not good for outdoors.
Smooth and slick when wet doesn't go with stairs anyway.

The steps are inside the garage..

Part of my concern was slippage also, but to have a nice finished garage with drab stairs might look strange.:eyecrazy:

Ahh ok, I go ahead w/ epoxy and get some non slip patches used on boat gunnels.
They look like wet/dry sandpaper.

Or apply epoxy then sprinkle with an ablative like sand to make it non slip.
Or buy marine non slip deck paint.
