I'm ready to buy my liftmaster 8500 jackshaft opener and I'm wondering where all you guys are getting yours from? Any good deals out there?

Got mine here:

weshipgaragedoorparts.com

Items arrived quickly and subsequent contact with them was responded to quickly (had a question or two).

Cheers.

I paid $490 for one but it included installation and since I had a new door installed, I just let them do it. If you are handy the $265 deal is really awesome.

Reviving this thread...

Best deals on the 877LM or 877MAX keypad?
855LM repeater?

Just to keep everyone up to date- I ordered from Weshipgaragedoorparts.com as everyone suggested but they are now $289. I was going to get the Internet controller but I think I saw it cheaper on amazon.

Getting new garage doors and LM 8500 is $500 installed and they do the warranty stuff for the 5 year term.

For $62.50 extra each...I am letting them do it...575 for a 2 pack is a good deal at WEShip....but then one of the doors is 11 ft high and all kind of fun getting it balanced.

Making more make/buy or DIY/pay the pro decisions these days. Leaning more to paying somebody else. Trying to be more efficient and do the things I know how to do vs. spending a lot of time figuring stuff out.

Too much on my plate right now.....!

Got mine from local installer as he matched Amazon’s price and warranted everything. He’s one of the few service guys I trust and respect.

I have installed the 8500 before and it isn’t too difficult. I had the door installed this morning, if the UPS guy had gotten here in time, I would have let the door installer put it in. The door company wanted $588 to provide and install. So Basically 300 bucks over what I paid.

Took an afternoon to run an outlet and new bell wire through the attic and get installed, program door, lights, Homelink , etc. but it’s in and all appears to be well. I got the little internet gizmo that lets you see if your door is up or down, closes at a certain time of night , etc. that’s pretty cool
