During the past year I have been adding mobile toolboxes to my garage shop in an attempt to get it organized. Then it dawned on me that I could do the same thing to alleviate the drawer shortage in the kitchen. So when HD put this ss box on sale, I ordered one and replaced an island table. I picked up about a square foot of surface area but gained much highly prized drawer space.

Now that I have more drawers I can organize things better.

Great idea. Above comments of course apply. I'd drop the casters and put it on a base. I like casters in the shop, but I wear real shoes in the shop, so when I kick a caster I don't notice it. In the kitchen, hanging her little toe on that roller may alter her opinion and your.

You must be single or you have one heckofa wife

Well, the Queen is truly a prize for putting up with me for all these years.

All of the kitchen stuff is on wheels so I can move it around easily. For example, the cart beside the stovetop moves so my granddaughter can assist at the cooktop.

I like your speaker stand.

Yeah. I need to do something about the tv sound. I like the sound where it is but it needs to be relocated. Too much wire.

When I lived alone I had my roll around cabinet in the kitchen, when I moved in with the girlfriend it went into the garage I built, along with the welder in the living room!

I like it. Very innovative. You need another one because there's still way too much **** in that space.

Jim - I think it's a great idea.

Was gonna do similar in a new home some years ago, ended up more conventional.

Nice nest you got there, but move the diet coke for mental health.

Never saw this thread so I'm glad it got revived. When I built custom cabinets for my wife's dressing room, I put a 9 drawer machinist's chest in one bay. The fact that it locks 9 drawers at once is 50% of the benefit.

I have a stainless steel toolbox in my office space. The toolbox sits over an HVAAC vent. This keeps the Coke cool.
