Twisted wrenches..............I just don't know. :headscrat

Good for high torque applications(caliper bolts, etc.), I used my friend's set, and was surprised to like them. I already have the 10 thru 19 mm Gearbox set on the way, so the free 21 thru 25 mm set that comes with it is a bonus for suspension work. Can't beat the price. Can't beat the tools for the money period. Wish GearWrench was USA made, but the tools are so fine, and unique, I have to bite.

Doesn't seem like a bad deal but do you really need that x beam?

Ahh, that is why people need them. I remember now that Matco sells them. Well sells the Matco version.

Is there any difference?

They really all more comfortable, I've used my set of non-ratcheting x-beams quite a few times.

I bought a set of non ratchet X beam combo wrenches, my thinking being anytime I need a LOT of force I shouldn't be using a ratcheting mechanism.

Anybody who ordered these hear anything from National Tool yet? I placed an order and received an email confirmation notice with an order number, but no update with a tracking number as of yet. According to what they say on their web site, shipping normally occurs within 24 hours. I tried to contact their customer service department and it is returned to me with an error message.

Any experience with these guys in the past?

I goy my SAE promo pack, and my body tools, clip pliers promo, right before the holiday. I am still waiting on the metric wrench promo sets...............they took the money off my credit card soo, they should be coming. I ordered from them in the past, never any trouble, but they never have a packing slip, and never have tracking numbers. The stuff comes out of different warehouses across the USA.

I ordered 2 sets. I got the X beam ratcheting wrenches from 1 set only with none of the promo wrenches. I called them Tuesday, when the first ones arrived and they said it should be here by this Monday. UPS wasn't delivering Thurs/Fri. this week.

She said call back if I don't have them on Monday.

Thanks for the great tip autoace.

I ordered the non-flex, reversible, metric X-Beams on Friday night. Received both that and the promo kit in one box on Wednesday.

What is strange is I ordered the metric wrench promo first, but got the two later orders before them, hope I get my metric ones on monday, I'll be real bummed if I threaded myself out of them:confused:, but figured I would share the good deal.

I ordered them on last Friday 11/20 . Only got one email saying they have the order, nothing else since. Nothing on their website says that they did anything with my order. Sent them an email tonight.

UPDATE: mine came today, Look good, I ordered both Std & Metric.

Mine arrived too, I called this morning and asked whjat was going on, she looked up my order and then tracked it. She said it was due today, and there it was waiting for me when I arrived home. The wrenches in the bonus set are long, a nice addtion to my collection, now I've just got to figure out how to fit them in the drawer.

I got my second promo sets today also. The metric X beam, flex heads set, and the XL Gearbox 20 through 25mm...........the Gearbox ones are made in Taiwan, the other set says China:headscrat What is the origin of your sets?

Last week I got the X beam, flex set, and the Gearbox SAE set.

The big wrenches take up a whole drawer of a 26" wide tool box, and they just clear to close the drawer. Nice packaging and cases.IMO I like the length of the XL Gearbox sets, great for suspension bolts.

Do you have any? Have you used them? I might have said that 2 years ago, the GearWrench brand earned my respect:) You can think they are junk, I don't want too many people buying up all the promos:bounce::beer:

Do you (or anyone here) have the regular flexhead sets, as well as the x beam flex set? I am wondering if the heads are the same size or not. (saw a picture somewhere, and it made one look larger then the other)

Thanks
