My local store have boxes of them, no one wants to buy... but it is a great little flash light for car../ tool box.... I got 2 packs (4 flashlights), only down side is the C cell, it is not as common as D cell or AA cells or those Li-ION 18650 cell ones that I have... But being alkaline battery, it also have less self discharge than other battery options.


It's a Duracell brand... as far as COO....I would love the Made in the USA ones too if they offer it at the same price.

the point is ... it's rugged construction, good enough to keep in car / tool box.
No I don't work for Costco, Duracell or any of the Manufacture... it's a good deal. I post it, if the COO bothers you, then don't buy it, just don't be a hypocrite, and get a reality check.

I bought an off-brand set awhile back that drained due to the battery indicator light.
Returned no questions asked.

Actually I read the reviews.... some of them are just questionable.... the slide on the focus on the flashlight is a bit loose.... but not a show stopper for me. it's a tool box / in car flashlight $5, and bright. It is not something I go clobber some one with tactical light / baton.... as far as the power button complain..... that is really questionable. Every switch have a number of clicks before failure.... no way these switch failed from normal use....Seems like some one is click happy and broke that or deliberately doing it for the COO trolls, dunno...

Personally I would avoid these, Yes they're cheap and on sale but I have had these as well including the older Duracell anodized ones that COSTCO sold last year in three's. Both are Very bright and was happy when I first got them but noticed after having them sitting in the drawer turned off for a month or three that the batteries had drained rather quickly. I kept replacing the batteries that had drained inside the flashlights after little use. I finally chucked them into the trash (it was cheaper do so), so frustrating reaching for one when in need and having a useless dimmed light when knowing the batteries were new

I have since bought USB LED headlamps with great success and no more having to buy large packages of batteries.

Dunno Neither amazon or costco that sells these flashlight have a review about this... just about the button, and focus problem.... there was just 1 guy that complains about the battery leaked inside the flashlight... but I failed to connect how that is related to the flashlight.... Anyways I got them now.....and battery is in. So I won't know until after a few months.

That is the thing, leaky battery have nothing to do with the flashlight..... it self.... in a sense... I have not have any of them leak under normal use.... but they do when I store the flash light in a damp corner of the garage with the battery.... that was an old mag light that security guys uses as baton capable ones... 4 or 5 cell of the D size battery seize inside after I left it there a few years, and few other tools that uses batteries.... ... but I don't cry foul on the battery company or mag light. I just learn not to leave batteries in tools If I wasn't planning to use them for a while. It's nothing to do with the flashlight or the battery.... more of my ignorance.

Why would you not just take them back to Costco and get your money back, instead of throwing them out?

I have the three pack of Duracell anodized ones (red, silver, blue) and have had them for some time now. Still using the same batteries in them that came in the packaging.

Costco's warranty is great. I try to buy everything there, so if it doesn't meet the expectations you take it back and get your money back no questions asked.

They went bad in the 70°, dry living room drawer. They never got close to the expiration date. Apparantly their flashlights are no better thsn their batteries. I was in Costco a few days ago and the flashlights are now available in a 4 pack. Unlike a Maglight, they are throw aways.

I have owned a few of these for over a year. Very bright. No battery issues. Would be worth $15 each. And with costcos return policy I feel this is a no brainier. These are brighter than my streamlight at 10% of the cost. Now if you are in law enforcement and your life is dependent on your light, then go with something else. I have had no battery drain issues with these. I did with some others from many years ago. I found an paper insert for those that said that this would likely happen. Wtf, what's the point of making a flashlight that is supposed to deliver light when needed but will drain itself into an unusable state when I need the light. Again, wtf.
