As a matter of fact, yes, but I had help. My father-in-law was turning 80 and had been there a few times, but decided the entire family should go. He is something else and corrected some of the tour guides on there facts. He's have several relatives who fought in the civil war. One renewed 3 times. that's something to brag about.
My wife is actually very interested in history. The reason she first said that was because her father has obsessed over genealogy, wars, etc., for many years. So she's heard it all over a lifetime. It's the same reason she hates baseball. 3 brothers and she was forced to sit through every practice, year after year, because there was no one at home to watch her.
We had a great vacation and all generations were entertained. I highly recommend it if you haven't been there. If you catch the right speakers, you get a different perspective of Lincoln, the cause for the war, etc. As usual, war is rarely about humanity. At least, not as a sole purpose anyway.
