I'm scheduled to have a 30x48 barn built.
Barn will have an 18ft door on the 30ft gable end.
I'm trying to plan where to put the lift toward the front and still be able to get another car in beside it but also have the easiest path on to the lift

With an 18ft door center I would have 6ft each side. Right now I have the lift location mark 18ft from the door and 4 ft from the wall. This would put the inside of the lift arms at 6ft

I can always move the lift over for a straight shot on the lift but then it puts the lift one foot over center.
I guess for ease of use I'm trying to put the lift up front. I just want to be able to drive around it as well.

Talking with a guy at work who has a 32x50 and a bathroom in the front corner suggested putting the lift in the back. Probably easier to get in and out of.
Just worried about things piling in front.
I have another barn so that shouldn't be an issue.

He also noted with the lift in the back getting a trailer backed in would be easier.

Too many variables trying to build these things
