The two cordless tool holders are Hepfner Racing Products of Hartford, WI and the air tool holder is from Pit Pal Products.

Both are pretty slick in my book.

Here are some better pictures.

I really like the air tool holder. Easy to see them. Easy to hang them up.

I'm told by Jeff Wessel from HRP that he cordless tool holders are used in race trailers and the tools stays in the holder while going to and front the track. I'll confirm that this summer as I have two more to mount in the race trailer.

Those type of holders have become quite popular for home garage use. I have them mounted similar as you do in my garage at home as well as two mounted in the trailer for cordless drill and impact gun. While I can't say it'd never happen, as of yet on any of our road trips to races or even up north for a weekend getaway with the ATV's, have not had them pop out of the holders. They are kind of a multi-use holder as I've even seen folks using them to hold all sorts of different items. Good to see they've done Garage Journal Members well.

Any chance you have a link? I googled the name and found their site but I don't seem to be able to find the racks.

The air tool one is available on Summit Racing's site, I picked one up years ago for under $20. There are also pegboard version of the cordless tool holders, I think I grabbed them at Home Depot for a few bucks each, they work good for holding drills, impacts.

I use the pegboard style cordless tool holders. They work well, though I like the look of these above.

Looked at another way, at $16.95 each the cordless tool holders are too cheap to bother making your own, unless you place no value at all on your time.

Same goes for the air tool holders -- even if you got free materials you'd spend a lot more time farting around with it than it's worth.

Innnnnnnnnteresting... Lisle has a locking version of the air tool holder.

Of course, if you have the spare time and scrap and just want to make something useful yourself, that's understandable as well.

Well you can make something similar with 1" PVC, a 1/2 drill but, a 5/8 drill bit and a small saw.

Made a few and they seem to work well. I'm not sure how much the hanging air tool things cost, but these PVC holders are maybe 15-30 minutes. sure plus the price of the 1" PVC.

I made a air tool holder like that but I mounted the female end of a air fitting (the chuck) that holds the air tool on tight. At first I did just like the one pictured but dang mud daubers clogged up all the air holes in one week. The way I got it now it covers the opening so tool stays clean. I don't have a picture but it was very easy to make.

Just buying things kind of takes the fun out of having a garage.
