It seems that you have the same luck as me. Making a small job bigger. Well I hope that is not the case and it is a simple oversight or failure.
Andrew, I wiped up and dried the spill and quit for the day. Next day I found no additional fluid on the floor and it took less than a cup of water to top it off. I think when I was adding coolant to the radiator it overflowed and collected in the radiator frame, slowly dribbling out on the driver side.
Well....
My thoughts would be just hide behind something , like a sandhill, maybe dig a little deep ; .....for a few days ???
Greg, when I try to hide SWMBO invites the dog to go find me "he's got treats" exposes me every time.
Just don't try to hide behind her caboose. She finds me there every time...
Andy, I was told to hide in plain sight. Not my best move.
Bob: I worked with an older roofer a few years ago who wore long underwear on the really hot days to insulate his *** and legs a little better than just jeans. Definitely too hot for shorts to spend much time on that pavement. Hopefully your leak is a topside one that you can get a good visual on.
Kenny, I gave up wearing shorts to work outside. The slight improvement in cooling doesn't make up for the pain of kneeling on any surface in the Florida sun. I'm going to ignore the leak and hope it isn't real.
Vieux, it's too hot for me as well. I would wait for cooler weather but that's four or more months away.
Bob,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, I think your IR thermometer is broken,
that reading has to be wrong, or the decimal point is in the wrong place or something

. Although if it's right I'm surprised the leeking coolant didn't evaporate on contact with the floor.
Good luck with fixing the leek, I'm sure it's not far away.
Love the 'vette colours, matching umbrella next time please, although not a bad effort 7/10.
Regards
Steve.
Steve, bad enough we do feet and pounds but the temperature this is silly. 57.5*C sounds so much more comfortable.
My wife is always rummaging through trash and found that umbrella a few years ago. More recently she found a new Tommy Bahama tan umbrella but I hesitate to use it. Even if it's free, nice stuff is for company.
Ummm... he does have it set on F, not C. We see those temperatures, 145F on a car hood on an nice bright day.
Andy, you only lean on a black car on a sunny day in Florida once.
Bob is that a satin sheet I see under the Vet? Knew you had class.
Bobby, you got me! Actually my wife offered me some king size satin sheets close to that color. She found them at a thrift store in like-new condition. Washed them and put them on the bed. Got up in the middle of the night and fell on the floor getting back into bed. They were in the linen closet until a few weeks ago when she decided to gift them to one of our granddaughters (don't sass grandma or you'll be on the floor before you know it).
I just got caught up on your thread and have to say nice job on the laundry room. Wanna come up to the mint fields and do my bathroom?
Wait, now I'm confused. Shorty's wife is verbally abusing Bob? I didn't thin they lived that close.
Kirk, I'd be happy to do your bathroom. In which decade would you like it to be finished.
I believe our wives can verbally abuse any or all of us long distance during or after their secret meetings.
The truth comes out, haha, and you tried to make us believe it was HF. Shame on you! Come on, Bob, you know we see you at a higher level!
Good to see the leak was easily accessible, Taking that beautiful engine down to the water pump or freeze plug level is a real PITA. I like the car, but I've worked on too many to enjoy the maintenance. Thanks for sharing so much.
Ric, my bad.
Oh, I replaced the water pump on the Vette about 20 years ago. Not something you ever forget.
Ummm.... just a gentle attempt at bringing some levity to the proceedings, though 145f you say, i recon your thermometer is more broken than Bobs.

My pool thermometer says 120 and I know thats broken, today in the height of summer we maxed out at 19, I had a vest and a wooly jumper on.
We just don't see those temps here, ever.
Regards
Steve.
Steve, it's what you get used to. Our brand new Sydney condo had no central heat or A/C. Never occurred to me to ask.
My wife wears a cotton jumper when it's 33*C and we keep the house at 25*C year round. One degree warmer and I am sleeping in a sweat pool while my wife has to have 3 blankets to sleep.
Bob, now that is just a bit warm to be working on a car out side for this black duck. Satin sheet or no satin sheet.
A carport would be the answer...

Steve, you are absolutely right. I plan to go to the building department this week to see if they allow temporary carports to be set up in the driveway. Anything permanent has to withstand 135mph winds and 100 mph projectile impacts. I'd be happy with one of these 10'x20' sunshades (less than $100).
You did well. I missed the point
I'm not used to sarcasm

Enjoy that 19!
Andy, is a sarcasm where you find bats living.
