Need a case for your small dial type Snap On torque wrench? I have a case that is virtually brand new in condition, accomodates a dial type torquemeter up to 12 inches long.

The one that is in it looks like new, is a zero to 30 INCH/lb model, but turning clockwise, the needle stops hard at 20 in/lbs. Something is damaged inside, probably due to over-torquing in the past. The tool is date 9-72. The box is near perfect, and the latch and hinge line is NOT cracked or split.

Please don't hold out any hope for the torque wrench, I've been told that there is little you can do to these, and repairs would cost as much as a new one.

PM me if interested in the box (with a DOA torquemeter inside)

Open to reasonable offers.

Adding one more pic.

There is engraving, very light script "Jim Strang" on the bottom as shown in the pic below.

you think it would fit an older wrench? It's a slightly different shape. What shape is the depression under the wrench...can't see it.

it would be fun to open one up to play with it, without the fear of damaging a good one

I have the same wrench! How muc shipped to 01068
[email protected]

A USPS flat rate priority mail box is $14, The box new from SO is apparently about $17. I thought $40 (total inc the shipping) for the whole thing is reasonable. It is possible the torque wrench could be fixed, I haven't tried, and really don't want to bother. Depends on what is wrong with it.
