Flow through garage tiles and wood working

Does anybody have the flow through garage tiles and work with wood in their garage?

Curious how much trouble those are with saw dust and wondering if a solid tile may be better than any of the fast flow types. Bonus if you have a picture of the mess on the tiles.

Also, does anybody do oil changes on them?

All the photo's show nice clean floor tiles..... What is meant by "you do have to maintain it"?

Let's see a real time video of the tiles full of sawdust ... and then vacuuming the tiles to get the sawdust out, and then how the tiles look afterwards.

My experience has been anything made of plastic tends to allow the fine sawdust to cling to it. Mostly due to static electricity.

I'm curious if that's also true with the floor tiles. A real time video would show if this is the case.

If the tiles need to be hosed down with water to get them clean, then that's not a realistic option for a shop stuffed full of equipment, like the one in the above link.

Not my floor but I believe he is a member so perhaps he will chime in. My floor... A shop vac is all it takes

I have my table saw and vise, saw-chain sharpener, etc., in an area of the garage that has solid Racedeck tiles. The remainder of the garage is FreeFlow RD tiles. Regardless, I do get lots of stuff, mainly sawdust, down in the FreeFlow spaces. Wind blowing through the garage will move the dust around, and sometimes I am using a hand saw or saber saw or whatever out in the FreeFlow area. If I am very good about vacuuming the sawdust up regularly, it isn't problem. If I leave it a while, too busy to bother, walking on the tiles packs the dust down and I eventually have to pull out the tiles to get the sawdust cleaned up. I usually pull all the tiles from the garage [in large sections, it's really easy to do] once a year to hose off the floor anyway.

It isn't really a big bother, and I am frequently neglecting to vacuum up quickly. I thought about switching out the FreeFlow for solid, but I get enough benefit from the FreeFlow otherwise that I probably won't ever change them. If I had it to do over, I would still opt for the FreeFlow.
