FYI: I would strongly recommend avoiding that seller, he has a bad reputation. Plus you can find that same drill press for a lot less with a vari-Slo feature but they do sell quickly.

Lyon is a good name, but I'm not sure toolboxes of this sort are their specialty; also the seller mentions a couple of sticky drawers; it could be the slides just need a little lubrication and cleanup, or maybe something else is afoot; who can say unless you check 'er out?

That *****, I didn't see that the contact info wasn't there....I just checked and the ad was reposted a day ago....still no contact info.....but I did find a button at the bottom where Craigslist will notify the seller

While of course things are always better in California, that metal cutting bandsaw is a very good deal. That one has a jackshaft system for slow speed metal cutting (175 FPM); those are worth a bunch more money than the typical Delta knock-off wood cutting versions.

I think this one is made by "General Fireproofing", all the drawers have heavy duty bearing slides like Vidmar/Lista's. Really heavy duty.

Yeah, it would be really good if we had posts from other states, posts from CA have been overwhelming this thread and perhaps turning off members from other parts of the US.

I know there's good deals out there outside of California, we need to see them getting posted here on this thread.

Who says there's no deals in GA?

Seller says never used but shows surface rust that will be easy to remove. No swivel but still a very good price for a vise that sells $1,100 new. Swivel bases can be had for $110 on eBay.

well, let's see, free in "Nath a Bastan", we find:

couch, piano, scrap metal, pallets, coffee table, cardboard roll from carpet (but no carpet), small frying pan, kodak film camera, robin's nest (!?), 90 yards of fill dirt, fax machine, bunch of tube tv's, a fish tank (full, from the image), and, my favorite, "chair with cover". something so bad off, they covered it with a blanket, and won't take the blanket off.

the regular CL i look at is full of snap-on boxes for five times their value (which is bwhy the ads never seem to get taken down), "classic" cars that "only need a little TLC" for ten times what they are worth. . . . . . . . the CL dreamers thread could almost just be a collection of the daily new listings around here.

i am honestly not sure why i look anymore . . . .

Peter Wright 140 lb. Anvil - $350 (Mendon/Boston, MA)

I looked on CL Boston and found this. While not free, it is selling for ($2.50/lb) about half of what they normally sell for. I've seen smaller ones sell for $750 in CA.
