I've got a 1/2" Dr. x 24" Lg. breaker bar. The finish on it is cheasy & it came with a slight bow in it. I wasn't expecting it to be otherwise anyway cause it was cheap. But I only use it for removing the rear wheel on my brother's motorcycle.

Another fan of eccentric or "oddball" tool companies...excellent :)

I recently picked up a Truecraft long ratchet (Japan) and a Mechanics' MIT breaker bar (Taiwan?). Both are quite nice.

"eccentric" doesn't have to mean low quality tool companies though; it can mean the opposite.

The general consensus from me is that they're junk.

If you like Asian tools, look into GearWrench or Toptul.

+1, GearWrench is the best tool for the money, in the sub-tool truck category, they may be Asian, but they are top notch. I would skip the V8 tools.

I wouldn't use them for every day work, but I have had an eye on their thin service wrench sets for hydraulic work.

So far, I've had only one set. It was a extra long double box set. The previous owner had managed to crack one of the box ends. Now this was a wrench without a scratch on it...so that definately leaves me suspecting poor quality.

Also, the box ends were not uniform in the same way you'd expect from a good wrench. Almost to the extent of comparing something made by a machine to the V8 being hand made, and sloppily at that. Great chrome though. They also carry a full guarantee; I just hate having to mail stuff in when it breaks.

I would pass on having a set of this brand in my box....but then again, I do try to avoid ALL Chicom tools. But this brand I would rule out due to suspect quality before even considering COO.

Forum search engine needs four or more characters to search properly.

exactly
like i just ordered some toptul from mike
i never meant to make me saying eccentric sound like i was associating it with low quality

but i guess i just dont mind straying from mac matco craftsman......blah blah blah haha
