Hey Guys

I need some help from our resident Snap-on Experts .......

I picked up this box last week, and I'm pretty sure that it is a Snap-on.

I looked at the collecting snap-on site, but I couldn't find an exact match.

The two small lower drawers have divider rails, but they are part of the drawer, not an added accessory. none of the other drawers have these.

Here are some pics:

The box is very well made, and the drawers still open & close very smoothly.

The box is approx 26 1/2" wide x 14 1/2" deep, and is HEAVY!

I looked at the back of the box for the model & date codes, but there is nothing there (I hit it with a DA so I am sure of this). I will refinish the box sore don't worry about the DA!

Is there any place else wher the model# & date code might be located?

I would greatly appreciate any help identifying the box, and confirmation that it is in fact a Snap-on box.

I have one very similiar, I believe that mine is a kra59 but not entirely sure. It has two smaller drawers at the top right like your left and middle top drawers instead of the one deeper one. It does not have the adjustable dividers like yours but all of the bottom full width drawers have built in dividers like the top shelf. Ill try to get some pictures tonight. But the box still has the snapon logo on it, as well as the key. I know my grandfather got it sometime in the early 60's along with a bottom, which my uncle still has. Ill call and see if it has any model #s on it as mine does not.

Now you know that's not a polite question to ask .....

But since you did - $100, which included all of the sockets shown (the deep drawer is full of vintage Craftsman - the "newest" is "=V=" series back to "Circle H", Wright, Cornwell, Snap-on, Thorsen, S-K, Indestro, Bonney, Williams, ~PLUS~ 33 Vintage Made in the US Ratchets/Breakers, ~PLUS~ 2 Vintage Made in the USA Speeders !!!

I also got a half a drywall bucket of Taiwan sockets and ratchets as well that I had to take as part of the deal.

Overall, not a bad day!

Thanks John

I was sure that it was Snap-on as well when I saw it.

I looked through the catalogs on the "Collecting Snap-on" site before posting, but couldn't find an exact match - I'll take a look under the top as suggested tomorrow for a model # / date code
