Thanks everyone for the good words.
Got to the quacks yesterday and spent a sobering 20 minutes there. I am on the high side of ok, with a PSA of 3.2, last one was 1.8, so have to go back in 6 months. Ultrasound says no new hernia, and the jewels are ok. So, my brother is going in in September to have his prostrate removed totally. They are going to use the robot, scary thought that medicine has progressed so far.
MD1, yep just passed the middle of winter. We range from -15C to 45C over the year, usually lucky enough to get up to 10 days of snow that hangs around for a day or two, going thru a good wet time at the moment, we need it as we have only got 1/2 the rainfall we usually get by this time. In town got up to 13C today, we got 10C but with the wind it felt like 0C.
OIF, the hardest thing is leaving on Sundays. We have lunch on the veranda. The girls removed the top wooden rail last time so that it did not spoil their view. Just drinking in the view.
MH, yes I worried that I might have made a mistake with my measurements, but it just fits nicely. He has the Fitech already, now to rebuild the 350 and get some paint on the out side of the body. Straight white, but I am trying to convince him of just white tinter with clear coat on top. I have done it once before many years ago and have wanted to do it again.

Ahh, I bet that'll be bright! My Midget was painted with straight black tinter (the first time around), always loved just how black it was. Will do the same one day when I paint the Vette.
I've been seriously considering some dedicated track wheels/tyres, in which case I'll probably fit 275/50R17s as my street tyres, which are a bit over 28" diameter.

OIF, I would be shitting bricks if mine was that high with worry. I have just got my second wind and want to keep going. I keep reading on here about things that I would never have thought of and now would like to have a go at or see.

My PSA scores went a little high some months ago (you can imagine the panic given my history with the big C), & the Doc ordered something called "ratios" be done. Then I re-did the tests a month later, with those ratios being done again.......
My ratios showed that the elevated scores were not a problem, just a symptom of getting older..... And my surgeon concurred, as he received a copy of the results before my last visit.
Ask your Doc about them.

My PSA is about 3 and as l have family history father and brother l am on 6 monthly checks at the Olivia newton john cancer centre l am due for results and the finger test 16th this month so if l had a psa of 12.5 l would be Sh----- my self to ,unless there is different ways of psa readings ?

I was diagnosed in Tulsa, with a PSA of 7. They scheduled me to see a surgeon and have surgery. Since my wife had been to MD Anderson, and I was traveling to Houston about every week, I called them for a second opinion. They asked me to join a research program which is attempting to correlate the PSA and all of it's component parts, with mortality from prostate cancer. They contend many unnecessary surgeries are performed based on PSA number alone. Since they cured my wife of Stage 3 brain cancer I felt it appropriate to participate in the research. After all if nobody agrees to research there would be much less progress in the fight against cancer. So I have chosen to live with it, and they promise me I won't be part of a placebo group
However I'm receiving no treatment, just careful observation (and lot's of biopsies OUCH!!).

OIF, sounds like you have your finger ( or someone else's) on the pulse.
My brother had the full body bone scan as well and found all clear except arthritis in his left elbow. That's about the only place I don't have it.
But you are correct, you have to look at the (w)hole picture to get a good look. Sorry, could not resist that one.

L, yes my ratios are ok at the moment, but need to keep aware. Just in case I forgot something, my wife was sitting there to keep score and memorise. You know what they are like.

They sure can! At the event today, most of the cars in my class were running 18" A050s, at $5-600ea... I think to get some decently affordable track semis I'll need to buy a set of cheap 18" wheels (my current wheels are 17"s), and I'll probably start with some 265/35s, most likely Nankangs if I buy new, as they can be had for ~$200 a corner and have been getting pretty good reviews. I'd prefer to run 295s, and both 295/30 and 295/35s are relatively available, but you're looking at closer to $350 a corner for a budget semi, so I think I'll start with the 265s...
All of the above will look too short on the car, and drop the car another ~0.5", but I can live with that for track use. The real annoyance will be changing tyres,and having to either tow to the track or chew up the tyres on the highway to get there.

So I have been looking at the led bars to go behind the grill.
Last week I bought one, but it was too thick to do the dually, so I turned my attention to the daily work truck, "Lil".
Got up this morning, fathers day here, and decided to rip the grill out and have a go.
This is the 32" 1080 watts just checking it would fit in the grill.
SO I pulled the grill out, found centre on the body and the light.
The old 22" is still there just because I can't get under the truck at the moment to remove it.

I measured and marked where the centre support would interfere and removed some of the cooling fins. You can just see the marking out for the right side that has to be cut.
You are not imagining things, the ac core is bent after we hit a 6' roo a while ago.
Then mounted the end brackets to the light and hung the light from the grille shell, had to notch a small section of 3/8" x 1/2" for the bracket to fit.
You can just see the top of the mounting bolts in this pic, right on the line where the chrome finishes.

I had to cut the back of the right hand side of the light to clear the ****** cooler, sorry forgot to take a pic. Same as the others have done on here.
Just checking that the hood still clears the mounting bolts.
I am going to try and make my own phantom grille to cover the main light and bars as well.
Following the advice form the others who have done this, it took me about 2 hours total.
Just have to lift the truck and remove the old bar, that will have a new home on the 72" mower or the skid steer.
I have got a 55mm thick bar with the same wattage just yesterday, so it will be going into the dually, because it has the electric fan in front of the ac cooler. I hope to make it so that the grille is not cut out.

All done for now.
There you go, I found a couple of phantom inserts up the back, so I did a bush install. It will do, until I have saved enough money to buy a complete phantom set that covers the head lights as well.

Since I have the same model truck, very nice install. Any impact on cooling? Since the light is inset some, I guess air still gets around it.

So far no problems with cooling, btw, i have a 56mm thick radiator. The temp gauge reads the same as before.

Hey, I got a bit of ME time this weekend.
Over the last couple of months I have been getting our electric gate working again, worn pivot bush kept draining the battery because the bush was making the motor draw almost 5 times its usual current.
I found 6 new remotes on line and programmed them all to work.
This was the night before last.
Yes, I know I got a bit carried away with myself. It started with my wife trying to open the gate from up at the garage ( 150m away), so I put the led lights on it. Simple really, the white light comes on when its opening and the red one when its closing.

You know those "quick jobs", well I did one on Sunday.
The ignition switch in my dually ute decided to give u the ghost the other month. I managed to buy anew one online at a good price, we had removed the old one so I could drive it, was waiting to get pulled over with a pair of pliers to start and stop it....no such luck.
So Sunday I sat down and started, everyone was out so I had the place to myself.
I had made a small puller to get the wheel off,( I still have the mark across my nose 40 years later from my first one). Removed the wheel, lock plates, turn signals and horn. Fitted the new barrel and started to put everything back. I was sitting there just reconnecting the horn and realised that the plastic cover between the wheel and horn was still sitting on the floor next to me. So round two, pulled it apart and made sure I was fitted this time. Put it all together and everything works. Yeah to me!
This is when I realised that the plastic cover was not in. It is supposed to be under that notched plate to insulated the ring from the horn mechanism.
All good now.

Well it is that time of year for us. The Murrumbateman Field Days is our main event and we usually get return sales for up to 2 years after each show. So it is worth doing, plus its good to break the mundane days.
So after I did some trailer maintenance, put the springs back into their hangers because someone reversed up a large gutter too quickly. Put some temporary packing straps to hold up the roof insulation and cleaned the whole trailer inside and out. That's the basics ready to go.

So I started with an idea that my DW put in my head, and on the "honey doo list". Our main pump supplier has asked us to promote their new solar pump, so we bought one and have been trying it out. So far so good. So I have spent the last 4 days on and off building a display set up for this. The DW says she wanted the 240V pump display freshened up also. That meant that she wanted everything painted!!! The main frames to be black and the display bases white. So be it, I finished welding fabricating and painting about 3 hours ago.

So for the locals if you get a chance come out and drop in, we are at site Y26. Late in the arvo Saturday is the best time.
This was heading out to the MFD last year. It is a 1.5 drive each way from our place so we camp their from Thursday to Monday.
This was our setup last year, this year will be basically the same but the solar will be out from with the AWTS (septic) display.

Yeah, we have some good bargains the DW has put up on FB, like a household pressure pump RRP of $803 down to $399.
