Is there a way to block other users?

Ive been wondering if there's a way to block other users from responding to your posts and following you around GJ just to contradict anything you post or any advice you've given out? Maybe an ignore button that makes all of said persons posts invisibe so you don't have to keep reading their same BS over and over?

I see that feature in Tapatalk. I'm pretty sure you can get to it from the site too.

An ignore won't block someone from responding to you, but you won't see their posts. Got a stalker?

I don't use tapatalk. I use Chrome but thanks for the response. I won't go into further detail but it had gotten so annoying that I'm afraid to help anyone or respond to people's posts anymore knowing my post will get ridiculed by the same person for no reason other than that person being an **** and or a sociopath.

There is an Ignore List option here -

From your Control Panel - Settings & Options you'll see Ignore List - click it and there is a box to enter the Members screen name.

If their quoted you'll see it.

Just ignore them and don't read their posts works too.

Fair enough. Sorry to hear about your issue. The internet can get that way. That's probably why the ignore button was one of the first additions to forums, WAY back in the day, though it's often hard to find.

I'm in Chrome in the moment now, and I think I see the easiest way to ignore a user. On someone's post, click on that person's username. In the page that comes up, there will be two pull-downs under their username.
Send Message and User Lists.
Click on User Lists, and then choose Add to Ignore List, and your problems will disappear.

I had the same issues with 2 members here, very negative opinions without any real evidence or links to back up their claims!
So I tried this and the user has been ignored! Its "Awesome!"

Honestly, if someone keeps that **** up, report them. That button does work, sometimes it is the only way to solve an issue.

Nah, that's just because of the 508 errors and site slowness lately.

In the years I've been on the site I've blocked a few and they have all gotten themselves banned. Trust your gut.

I reported someone about a year ago because they kept giving me **** and after I reported the person,I was the one who ended up getting banned. This is no lie. I won't go into details on this either. I ended up getting let back in 2 weeks later after an anonymous admin researched what had happened. So the ignore button will be fine with me.

I've blocked some for offensive avatars. However they lived up to the poor image they put forth.

True enough on the offensive avatars. Heck, there are members that I have on my ignore list that posted on this thread and I don't have to look at their drivel. I hope they feel the same about me.

This forum is so much better since I ignored a few people whose drivel I am not interested in reading.
