Floor drain

I had a floor drain put in when they poured my slab for my shop. They didn't do a very smooth when they transitioned in. Anyway, it is what it is....

Question, prior to sealing my floor, is there anything I can or need to do to smooth it up prior to sealing the floor?

Maybe a little epoxy or something around it or something prior to throwing on a coat of finish? I'm not worried about it looking perfect, just wanting to seal up the transition between the concrete and the drain. There's some small gaps where the tape was around the drain prior to pouring the concrete.

Sand it smooth using orbital sander and 40 or 60 grit sandpaper. Then level low areas with Sakrete Top 'n Bond (available at Lowes and Home Depot). Be sure to follow instructions to first coat with thin, soupy mix and allow to partly dry for better bonding.

Maybe JB weld and sand smooth if you don't mind the color difference.

The color doesn't rely bother me, it'll eventually have grease, oil, and metal shaving on the floor anyway. Just wanted to smooth it out before I throw on some clear. Thanks for the replies!
