Went to an estate sale across the street from my house. Didn't expect much it was the estate if an elderly, very sophisticated lady.

But look what I found! It's in perfect shape, doesn't look like it's ever been used.

Anyone got an approximate age of it?

That is a nice find. I usually pass those old power tools up as I have so many , but I would have grabbed that too.

I bought a 1/4" drill like the OP brand new from Sears in 1972. That may have been late in their production, but it was still in the store then.

1971 catalog, pg 36. The 1969 catalog doesn't list it, don't have a 1970 to check. Price in 71 was listed as 36.99, matching 9-1135 to the catalog.

POS ! no torque... no reverse... good for pre drilling 9/16" holes in sotwood.... are you guys high?? why is this cool? I picked up a craftsman corrugated sole plane today.... plastic handles ... looks like it was used one time in the early 70S.... it is also a POS but at least it is usefull...

If you have to ask why it's cool, you could never understand.

Awesome. I found one a few years ago. Nearly as nice, it still has the sticker though.
