Yes I have. Only had them for a few weeks but so far nearly identical runtime and power to my XC 4.0s. They probably won't last but my opinion is for $30 for 2 4.0s, even if they only last a year, I'd still buy them

I might try these.. its a 2 pack of 2.5 amp hr batteries for $25 shipped with Amazon prime.

Ofpow 2.5Ah M12 Replacement Battery, 2 Pack 12V Lithium Replacement Battery for Milwaukee 48-11-2401 M12 RED Li-Ion Battery Packs, Compatible with All M12 Tools & Chargers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073CNC3PM/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Hers the eBay's 2.5 2 packs for $17 shipped. Very tempting. Hmmm..

Oh the compacts are 2 for $17? Why not get the XCs for 2 for $25?

it is my impression that the M12's are "just batteries", while the M18's have circuitry inside. while i would be willing to try M12 off brand batteries (if i wasn't floating in really M12's), i would not try the M18 clones, since i bet damage to the electronics in the tool caused by off brand batteries would not be covered.

i know this isn't exactly the question, but i thought it worth mentioning.

I bought a 3.0 a few years ago, still works fine and has samsung cells in it. Not saying they all do though.

I just bought the eBay batteries I listed for $17 shipped for a 2 pack. They are the same brand listed on Amazon for $33, with 200 reviews and a 5 star rating.

Here's the Amazon listing -

Powerextra 2 Pack 12V 2500mAh Lithium-ion Replacement Battery for Milwaukee M12 Milwaukee 48-11-2411 REDLITHIUM 12-Volt Cordless Milwaukee Tools Milwaukee 12V Battery Lithium-ion https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DOXZHMU/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Here's the eBay listing - seems like a solid bet to me.

The ebay listing shows 2 batteries in the pic, but the description only states one battery and one pair of gloves. Little bit of false advertising I think.

I bought one of the compact batteries a year or so back from eBay. It wouldn't charge in my Milwaukee charger. That was the last time I tried the off brand.

If it worked, why did you quit using it? :headscrat

I've been using an eBay 4.0 for about 6 months. So far no problems and the charge last a long time . Think I paid $18 for it

I'm sorry sir. It did not charge. That's what happens when my caveman fingers attempt to type on my phone.
