I bet some of these old-school ads would look great in the garage. A good scan, print on a decent printer, put in some funky frame and voila, good cheap garage wall deco.

Can a dedicated thread or sticky be made to archive some of this stuff? This way, anyone who wants to can go back and make a print at anytime.

I can print items 50 years or older on glossy up to 18 x 24. A lot cheaper than FedEx/ Kinkos.

I totally agree! Someone start a thread with these and other vintage Snap-on, etc.

I'm sure someone has access to a good printer and wants to make a few bucks selling these things, right?

I'm not positive, but I am willing to bet that selling facsimiles of the originals might violate some type of copyright law or something.

I like those old adds. It gives me the feeling of a time when people really took pride in their work and admired quality not just quantity.

My wife had the old Snap-On poster framed for me that has the boy in the wagon being pulled by his dog and the front wheel has fallen off. It says "When did you first learn the value of a good mechanic?" I love that poster. Mike.

Costo near me does great enlargements. Printed on canvas and stretched over a wood frame. Looks great.

Yep, with the correct 12 color Dye based printer so it won't be faded to nothing 6 months from now!

My girlfriend used to work for IRGA, she was the editor for their trade magazine, coincidentally my friend's (from grade school) family has a large reprographic shop in down town Chicago and they knew each other before we met. I've been to several of the trade shows and it's amazing what they can do now.
