Have read that this can be done. Any thoughts? If yes, ideas on the thinning ratio? In my case it's epoxy-coat.

I'm going the same route as you with epoxy-coat. Never heard of thinning epoxy. Sounds risky. I Ordered PPG Aquapon 35 to use as a primer. way cheaper. I ordered it and had them tint it the color of my epoxy-coat base. About 200 bucks for 1200 sq ft worth (2gallons of each 95-1000a and 95-98b). Sounds like a 50/50 mix. so 2 gallons covers about 600sq ft. I really just want to use it to minimize bubbles and stretch the epoxy-coat coverage. Picking it up today hopefully its all right

For some reason Epoxy-Coat still won't carry a primer and advises to thin their epoxy instead. You are generally better off purchasing a separate epoxy primer instead as the above comment mentioned. Most of the vendors on this forum sell excellent epoxy primer at a good price.
