Attached are a couple items I'm not sure about:

A stone (?) rod of some sort. It looks like it was broke at some point; the opposite side is painted white. Looks like it has "56" handwritten on it with chalk or something similar. Is this just a stone for sharpening certain tools?

A spike, for lack of a better term. The best I can come up with is a plumb bob, but I highly doubt that. If it were, what would of the square and round hole perpendicular to the axis be for? No markings.

Finally, a pair of aluminum pliers. No markings other than the various numbers (angles?) on the top. Rotating the knob on top rotates an anvil on the back side of the handle that has a varying chamfer on it (sorry I didn't get better pictures of that).

Bonus points if anyone has an idea of where to get a replacement torsion spring for my paper cutter (already tried McMaster).

What brand is it ? Have you tried the manufacturer ? They still sell them. I would think an art supply or office supply place would be better than MMC for something like that.
