I personally have no experience with the Schumacher units. A friend had trouble with his, but he doesn't really understand what he is doing, so I take his advice with a grain of salt. Many complaints on the internet about Schumacher chargers being not so reliable.

I did buy for myself one of the CTEK chargers and have been really happy with it.

I purchased one of these about a year and a half ago and have been satisfied so far. NOCO Genius G3500 6V/12V 3.5A UltraSafe Smart Battery Charger & NOCO Genius GC004 10' Extension Cable (Bundle). They have a pretty good warranty also. I've used it on lead acid car batteries to AGM motorcycle batteries. Even used it to try and restore an AGM Optima. After about 10 hours of charging, I recieved the trash the battery led. I figured I would toss it in the car and see what happened. It started the car just fine, but after a while of driving, the alternator boiled the battery and made it pop the vents. I guess the charger was more of a geneuis than I.
