So I destroyed the wimpy little bracing that had been installed to protect the stabilizing jacks on the rear of the camper.

came up with a wood Mockup of what I wanted and took to the local welding shop and had made and installed and for $100 got what I wanted and it held up on its first trial run.

only thing that really worries me is if I'm turning sharp and this drags it will have side way's pressure applied to it and might bend or break off.

I didn't have the square tubing on hand and my welding skills are severally lacking and this was a thing I wanted done and correctly or that is my hope.

any way post up what you think of my design and.

Wood mock up and completed install, still needs a coat of paint.

I would use a split ring pipe hanger.

, a 90 all thread bracket, and however much 1/2" all thread it will need to take up the space. What part of Wisconsin are you in?

SW corner of the state Dodgeville WI is where I call home,

Camper has been to Blackhawk lake over by Highland WI and Jelly stone Park
down by Bagley WI.

Have had the camper 2 years now.
still learning the in/outs of the camping stuff as I go.

put a roller under it like this...

https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=steel+roller

we use them on all four corners of the race car trailer and better to eat one of these up than the body work/aluminum on the trailer

thanks for that Idea and that would hold up better on hard surface's but the camper gets quite a bit of time on the grass and I would think those rollers will just dig in a channel when your out on the dirt getting backed into your spot.

I worked a repair job on a power plant in Lafarge. About 60 miles south of the Canadian border. Damn that was 20 years ago.

you may also be able to use a beam clamp on the flange of the steel with a short piece of threaded rod and a teardrop hanger or drill thru the beam and use a "L" bracket bolted to the beam and the teardrop and threaded rod
