Wera rebuildable?

I recently picked up a Wera 8003C 1/2 in drive push through ratchet. I'm very happy with it, it's smooth, robust and feels good in hand. If something were ever to go wrong is it rebuildable? If it's not, would Wera cover it with a new ratchet under their lifetime warranty?

I don't think the wera all metal ratchets are serviceable. The ratcheting mechanism is pressed into the head similar to a ratcheting wrench. There's no way to disassemble it.

I am confused here, please explain something to me. If they will replace it under warranty, why would you want to order parts and try to fix it? Besides that, if you screw around trying to fix it, won't that void the warranty?

Usually the company will send you a repair kit if your ratchet innards go bad, a fix or replace warranty. If it can't be rebuilt then the only warranty alternative would be to replace it. I'm just wondering if, it should ever give out, I will get a brand new replacement. I assume I would.

Wera tools have a lifetime warranty, excluding consumables (screwdriver bits etc..) i've only ever sent one of the cyclops ratchets back for a broken selector and they replaced it with no problem.

I bet Wera would be able to answer all the questions your heart desires..... :dunno:

http://www-us.wera.de/contact_us.html

For what its worth - I can't get a reply to my e-mail inquiry, and all phone calls are going to voice mail.
I have had a problem with this 3/8" Zyklops ratchet since almost new, and for the price paid this is ridiculous.
Could have bought [fill in the blank] instead.
YMMV

Maybe some Wera employee will see this and contact me.......I hope, I hope, I hope .....
