Im building an office in our new metal building. The office will be 300sqft with 9ft walls. The walls will be drywall and the floor stained concrete. I'm wanting to run led recessed can lights, but unsure of which one or how many. Any recommendations.

Grid ceiling? Drywall ceiling?
How fancy?
Downlight cans are dead. LED can-less is the new thing.

The point of this light is to blend in so there is not much to see.
They may be proud of the ceiling 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch.
But here is photos on and off.

The main difference between the two products posted above is that one requires a ceiling box to be installed and then the light to be installed into it. The other product just snaps in with nothing else required.
Depending on your ceiling joist situation and where you intend to mount the lights, the snap in product can be put anywhere in the ceiling while the other one might be limited to being next to a joist. This could be a big difference...or no difference at all....just depends on your particular set up.

No such thing.
Lumens per square foot is not a real measurement. You should be looking for foot-candles. A good target will be around 30fc, a little more would be OK. What you need is a lighting layout or what's called a "point by point". First, You would need to choose your fixture style. It will have a special computer file associated with it, called an IES file. You can then put this file into a lighting software program, along with your dimensions and ceiling, wall and floor reflectances and it will tell you how much light you will have at the desk level.
Try to find someone that will do this for you.
