WC, that's awesome and all but how are you planning on displaying all those tools and ever using them?. You gonna modify the boards / hangers?.

But even when you cross that road and all though it will look cool as all get out, man those will eat up some serious wall space. You know you're gonna have to share some pictures off all that completed.

We'll cross that road when I have enough room to put them up. Probably won't keep all racks, just maybe the one that hold the actual wrenches. I'll post pics when I get them up.

Quincy Compressor Model 6413 20 hp 1974 era

I haven't verified it with Quincy but I am curious if this is the 5120 not the 5105. Either way they are a monster of a compressor. I found this among a local Craigslist ad. Now to get it home clean it up and plug it in. :shocking:

I paid $350.00 to own it. :eek:wned: :rocker:

3 Phase. My choice of Voltages. This is the mag starter. Also, the compressor was running up until the business shut down.

I didn't really need another socket set but found this while browsing the Facebook market place - 45 minute ride and $65 later scored a brand new USA made Proto J52134 22 Piece SAE set - some things you just can't pass up.

Doesnt look like a Knipex Cobra. Looks like the NWS version/ripoff of the Knipex cobra. Their reviews are kinda poor vs the cobras.

It's not a Knipex or an NWS, but it is German-manufactured. I forget where I saw the post on Facebook, but someone correctly identified who the manufacturer is. VBW or Stahlwille I believe.

gotcha. I was referring to the other set they have that appears to be the alligators.

knipex use to make a set of the longer offset head like this set, it wasn't the "cobra". I can't remember the name but I sold mine 10 years ago or so after switching over to the alligators over the cobras. 10-12 years ago no one in the USA even knew what a knipex was. lol

the three pack of no4's and the no10 sledge are on their website. I pm'd richard about green and blue blems after I ordered some for the labor day special. he's a busy guy and it takes him some time to get back to you as he answers a couple thousand emails a day. the colored blems are hit and miss as to what they have in stock. almost every normal dead blow they make is available in red as a blemish. the ball peens are never offered as a blemished model.

No problem man. I've been a green snap on junky since before green was "cool". I've been throughly impressed with Trusty cook hammers. I may do a comparison post since I'm so excited. Between me and my guys at the shop working with heavy diesel equipment repairs, we have quite the selection of hammers. I've had a 70 dollar estwing 45oz dead blow for 3-4 years. It still looks almost new. No chucks missing or cracks like all the other mac/proto/Stanley's I've had that dry out and split within a year.

Most of my hammers look new because they are. My service truck was raided a few months ago and it's taken time and cash to replace those tools.

I know you are a snap on junky also so you'll appreciate this

Snap on 32oz for comparison. (My dealer couldn't get me the 40oz I had)

50oz TC ball peen, 32oz Snap on, 47oz TC Flat face ball peen, and the new favorite the 43 oz stubby flat face ball peen. The TC 47oz has the same handle length and a lot smaller profile head. More bettah' for getting into tight space constraints. Likewise the 43oz stubby is 100% awesome. In fact. I'm ordering another one with the normal ball peen head the next time there is a sale. I also know you are a green fan. These TC green hammers get dirty quite easy and aren't exactly easy to clean. I may decide to switch over to blue on the service truck and keep the green ones in my green box. Sorry for the rant, just very impressed for cost.

I went with blue for the greasy stuff and green for my tower work. I like the Snap On grip better, but the heads are ridiculously big. I have not used any of the Snap On hammers since getting the Trusty Cook ones. That reminds me, I need to sell the Snap On ones!

That's one **** hammer collection. I'm still kicking myself for not stocking up when TC just had that 25% off sale. I'm just going through and upgrading all my hammers, I used to think snap on was overpriced for no reason when it came to hammers, and have used the same estwings and vaugnhns and other non names for years. Then I said screw it and bought a green 32oz deadblow BP and I was instantly hooked. Night and day difference. Never thought a hammer could be so comfortable to use. I've bought 3 since then and want to add more. I'm not crazy about TC's handle (especially because like you mentioned, they are impossible to clean with all the grooves) but it's not a deal breaker. I like the different styles and handle lengths they offer that SO doesnt. I may reach out to hammersmadeinusa about those blems. Are they minor imperfections? Nothing crazy right?

Looks like a nice sized compressor, sounds like a great price as well. What is it powered by?

I'm eventually going to piece together a Rotary Phase Converter from a 50 hp.

How do you rotate a picture before posting it?

New tool (storage): Craftsman 28" wall cabinet. Sears.com offered it to me for $108 and I let the offer go. (I was looking because we just moved to a new house). Then they offered it to me for $111, so I bit. Then the first one I ordered was missing the back panels. Sears couldn't give me the missing parts, so I took it back to the store for a full refund. Then I ordered another one at the store and got $20 in bonus points, so only $96. This one then had another quality problem because the shelf had the latch slot cut on the wrong side. (Metal must have gotten flipped over after punching and before it was bent). Sears was no help but Waterloo Industries was great and sent me a replacement shelf right away.

While in the Sears store for my pickup I found a NOS Craftsman Professional 13MM fully polished combination. I think these were made by S-K. The nice pattern with the wide, long handle. Can't have too many 10 or 13mm's.

The only other USA NOS I found was an 11mm socket. I think I have one I've never used.
