A buddy in the bizz mentioned that the new Hot Dawg uses a PVC exhaust and is a condensing unit...anyone here seen this or installed one?

I've seen one at an HVAC show, it's not unlike most condensing furnaces. 93% efficiency has a draft inducer and appears to use PVC exhaust. One thing about a condensing unit is that you need to plumb both an intake and exhaust piping.

Sweet, that sounds lot easier than going through the roof or the plastic siding with a hot metal pipe.

Did the price go up any?

Am I right in understanding if you use this type furnace as an occassional turn on unit, rather than w/ a thermostat that there will be freezing issues if it's used in sub freezing weather?

I just cant believe that a shop heater would have that kind of obvious design flaw.
