Hello everyone!

I was given this Kennedy tool box, however I don't have a need for it. Other than sentimental value to a possible buyer, what would this box be worth? Thanks for any suggestions!

No. The 520 is a 7 drawer model.
I believe that cantilever is a 1018 (if it's 18" wide, or 1022, if it's 22" wide).

The price range is about right.

Ok,I'll have to check mine when I get home..I still have the Kennedy sticker with model # on it.
I probably confused it with my BIL's,he has one of the 520's.

That box is like 110 new

Perhaps. But this one isn't, and they are super common at flea markets, garage sales etc. I routinely buy used cantilever boxes with tools in them for $20-$30 at auctions and sales.

Its worth whatever someone will pay for it. I would pay $20. I don't need another one, so that is a big influence on that. If its worth $50 or more to the OP, cool.

I just sold one for $10 after sitting on OfferUp/Craigslist for months. Your area/market might be slightly different.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Kennedy boxes and cabinets. I used them throughout my working life and still enjoy them.

I also have a Kennedy cantilever box that I paid 9$ for, about 30 years ago. It's great for storing taps, dies, mill bits & drill bits. I also built a riser to place it on my Versa-cart.

Unfortunately, used Kennedy boxes and cabinets are undervalued. It's funny that I can sell a modern, low quality, Craftsman box/cabinet a lot faster than a Kennedy/cabinet.

As far as selling a Kennedy cantilever box: In my neck of the woods, I'd probably stick it on CL for 50$/OBO and see what happens. Depending on interest, you can always reduce the price.

Ive tried to sell mine too and it never sold. I wasnt asking a lot, maybe 30 dollars. I use it now as a I figure out how to put the same tools back into my pelican cases. Its heavy empty. After I get all my field tools back in my Pelican, the Kennedy will go back into the shed.
