Scored this beauty from the thrift store for $12

I'm embarrassed to show today's find after seeing your big fancy Herbrand box. It's a little Craftsman hiproof box that I coughed up $5.00 for.

Have you noticed that it's odd not to have a handle on the front panel? Yes, I would love to have the roller.

Found this guy today. Got it for $10 just because I liked it. Any ideas about what it is?
Can’t find any markings anywhere. Feels very well made, heavy and sturdy. The back has a lip that almost makes it look like it was meant for hanging.

You mean that toehold there on the front doesn't count?![]()

Nice buy on that Craftsman box. I think that held the 3/4" drive set.I'm embarrassed to show today's find after seeing your big fancy Herbrand box. It's a little Craftsman hiproof box that I coughed up $5.00 for.
Box went to the strippers, and a semblance of a logo/ badge emerged. Come on, Sherlock - don’t let me down!!!

Hi all, thanks for your answers. So it was probably made by Beach for Craftsman, right? What emblem should I look for because it is missing it? Thanks again guys.
I deciphered the sticker - John Deere. Armed with that knowledge I found my guy - https://www.etsy.com/listing/197678152/vintage-john-deere-tractor-toolbox-tool

Anyone know anything about these? Did JD make them or someone else?
Hi, yes, sorry I didn't reply to your earlier post.. This is a tool box originally supplied for a North American John Deere machine, tractor, combine or anything.

I stripped the red, but decided to leave it as-is for the time being. I kind of dig the “patina” look.
I came across this old craftsman roll away at a bard sale for $20 and couldn't pass it by. Has the keys but missing a drawer (****!). Can anyone give me an idea of the vintage or any other info? Thank you.

$20? $15 for Smokeshow?I came across this old craftsman roll away at a bard sale for $20 and couldn't pass it by. Has the keys but missing a drawer (****!). Can anyone give me an idea of the vintage or any other info? Thank you.
The only way you will find another drawer is to find a donor box to steal parts from.
I have one of these that is missing the cabinet door/front cover. I still don't know for certain who made these.
Your box appears in the 1949 catalog but disappears by 1954. I have gaps in my digital catalogs between those years so can't tell you exactly when Craftsman changed to the next generation of rolling cabinets. I suspect that these were probably offered in 1948 as well, but again have no catalog for that year.
whats the going rate on a box like this

Depends on your geographical location on pricing but due to them both being 3 drawers, I see it being not over $100 but I am sure rileysan will be along soon as he is very knowledgeable about said red and grey tool boxes

thanks yall thats exactly what they want for it 100 bucks
If I were trying to acquire it, I'd offer $75. The lock is missing from the top chest so that's a negotiation point.

Hah - you nailed it!
A quick trip to Junkstock in Omaha netted me this Blackhawk beauty that came from a Oliver Tractor mechanic. Casters were replaced by the person who won it at an auction in Iowa.
