As I learned earlier in the thread, that price is only for the store you are in. The other stores may not be clearing them out.

yep. i was just in a store with 24 neatly stacked 9AH weed wacker kits on a pallet in the rafters. of course, the one down low scanned for full price (i want to say 399$, but i am not sure. . . . .).

no blowers to be seen anywhere, and no empty places where they would have been, either . . . .

just picked up a blower in danvers (east) MA for 38.03$.

thanx if one of you bought yourself one, and left the last one for me.

if you are looking, this is what i found:

the blowers and weed wacker are not near the tool area anymore, they are in the garden tool section. the weed wacker was on display, and was lightly discounted, but they were all gone.

the blower was in the stock section with the other blowers, but there was not a display model, nor a place for one. the shelf tag listed the price as 120 something.06. i was just going to leave it and wait, but on a whim i took the only one off the (high) shelf, and dragged it around until i found a price checker. it came up as 38.03$.

so, dont look for them in the "tool aisle". even though that is where the locals had them when they were new, and being bundled with the 9AH batteries.

and dont necessarily believe the tag . . . ..

so, i didnt get 8 or 12 or even 22 of them. but i dont think i would have bought more than two anyway, both for me. didnt check the "danvers west" store, one more wasn't worth the trip, and i dont have the patience to flip stuff.

Thanks. I'm local and will have to take a look!

Just ask and employee. They can show you how to do it. Just tell them you want to check store inventory for other stores.

Don't ask an employee. I just had security follow me around because I was using their computers. They told me I could not use them. I acted surprised and left. The goal is to be polite and not be noticed. If they think you are looking for clearance deals they will watch and try to get the deals for themselves. No good comes from being too chummy with employees.

Do not ever ask an employee. Find a store that does not care if You use the computer. They barely know about their handheld. Pm me if you want more info. What store?

Finally used a customer terminal the other day.
Yeah, doesn't take long for someone to swing over and ask "what are you doing?".

I explained checking inventory since I don't have internet at the house, which is true. (btw, I'm not home now either.) She sees my smartphone and says "what about your phone?', which I responded that I don't get cell coverage 1/2 the time(true as well).

There is a reason HD corporate has installed a "customer" tab on certain terminals. Might just have to inform the next person about that.

30 Gal Husky v-twin cylinder, belt driven compressor clearance priced at $220.

That's even better than what I paid for my Kobalt from Lowe's (same specs).

They are not on hd.com. You have to go to store to see.

See what???? Your posts are so incomplete. I know it is in store and not HD.com. 18 results for "diablo sawzall blades means there are 18 in store diablo sawzall blades. do you think you could narrow it down a bit. Like maybe a SKU.

I saw these in my HD tool. Gumme...why don't you take a trip to your HD as every store will be different when it comes to clearance items.

When did you pay $100 for it? That would be a heck of a deal. I can't tell whether you are bragging and/or shitting in this thread for no reason. But if true that is better than any deal I've seen on similar compressors (the old Lowe's compressor thread on here had them for $183 at one point, but that was 6 years ago).

Anyways, this compressor's NEW regular price at HD is $399, so getting it for $220 is a damn good bargain.

I got a similar one from Lowe's (30 gal, 1.6 HP V Twin cylinder) back in 2011 for $359.

it is my impression that there is a private thread where all the cool kids hang out and share deals.

maybe they were the ones posting all the deals you remember.

well shoot, if thats the case, how do i become one of the cool kids?!

well, i aint one, so i dont know.

but if i started such a group, i would be one of the people who generated a lot of deals, and i would only invite the people who generated a lot of deals. this would keep the complaining down, and save the deals for "locals", rather than the people who read as guests who are only looking to scoop things up to resell on CL or ebay.

but i am not, and i have not.

That compressor at $110 was a good deal. I was able to pick one up last year as well.

That's a ridiculous deal. I'm actually looking at that compressor right now for my garage (detailing shop + track car garage). I use my Milwaukee 1/2" high torque stuff for breaking bolts loose, so don't need air for that.

The price at $399, down from $439 didn't even bother me that much.

Wonder if it will go on sale anytime soon for better. Would love to snag one.

$220 is the lowest I've seen, which if you NEED it, it is a good deal. Haven't been checking compressors lately though as it not really as across the board as it was last year for some reason.
